It's not interesting (to anyone but me), but I love the description on this MZ...

The engine runs, makes the requisite ring ding ding noises and produces enough blue smoke to confound your enemies.
Turn the volume up for the video if you get that far
(I think I'm going through some kind of MZ fetish period).

I had a K reg MuZ 301 Saxon Tour NE, I bought from Bawtry Auctions for £300. I looped it on the way home trying to wheely it.
When you get to a certain point the exhaust extends further than the rear wheel and sort of throws the balance out.
I commuted on it for well over a year. It was a fucking shit box and I murdered it. I have fond memories.
BHR have a race class for Supa5's where they're pretty much bone stock. They send them out with the pre-war stuff and they still come last. Where I get my MOT's done have an ES250/2 Trophy, it's so fucking ugly I can't help but lusting after it.

Are you saying this isn't the most beautiful motorcycle you've ever seen?

It's the sort of contrary bike that appeals.

The ETZ250 class with BEMSEE(?) is super competitive and a lot of time and effort has gone into R&D on the race bikes.
The BHR Supa5 class basically involves taking the glass out of the headlamp and fitting a Honda TLS front brake, then tootling around with all the proper classics. Last round a I attended there were four on the grid, three all stuck together at the back and one was maybe half a lap ahead mixing with with the 1930's 500s

That's where Bimota took all of the styling cues from for the Mantra

Why would you fit a brake as a headlight?

My unreliable memory suggests there were 500cc MZs in the Berlin motorcycle museum. Basically two waffle stack motors stuck together.

I follow a Thai Photographer on FriendFace (no not that kind of photographer), it's mainly really trick mopeds and smaller bikes, but these SR400's look lovely. The Ohlins forks and the steering dampers are maybe a bit over kill, but cool none the less...

Oh yeah, the 'trickness' of some of the 150cc mopeds is mad!
I guess if it's hard to ride/buy a big bike, you might as well throw the cash at your Inanova!
