The size of the screens in those always amazes me - I can see them in the cars as they pass!! Freaking huge!! And always so so bright - surely being that bright can't be good when night driving
If they are still annoyingly/distractingly visible from another vehicle, they ain't dark enough in dark mode colour palette !!Mr. Dazzle wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2025 5:12 pm They switch to a dark mode colour pallete at night.
The one is my car is >A4 size, I love it. Means the map shows my whole commute at a glance and I can see the traffic on the entire route(s).
Not much chance of powering yer house with a cat though eh?
I did the corporate day thingy, the C63 on the skid pan with the traction off was fun.Taipan wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2025 3:14 pm Just watched the CH5 program “Petrol vs Electric Cars”. Didn't you at least have to get in the car?KungFooBob wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2025 3:17 pm The off road 4x4 bit wasn't that exciting because it required no 'skill' at all, the car did it all, you just had to point in the right direction.
Oh yeah, it was a 2.1l derv on road tyres, climbing wet hills I couldn't walk up... after the bloke in the passenger seat pressed a few buttons.Mr. Dazzle wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2025 6:28 pmDidn't you at least have to get in the car?KungFooBob wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2025 3:17 pm The off road 4x4 bit wasn't that exciting because it required no 'skill' at all, the car did it all, you just had to point in the right direction.

As said, unless there's a valid reason, that's just being a dick for the sake of being a dick. What be your response to a Tesla blocking a petrol pump?ZRX61 wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 2:17 am Assuming the link didn't work, it was a post on the Tesla Cybertruck FB group with this pic:
and captioned: "This is not funny. My Tesla is at 3% battery and they are blocking the last charger. I will be calling a tow truck AND speaking to the manager."
So far it has over 14,000 replies in three days...
In related news, I did the exact same thing with my F350 on Saturday night, wish I'd got a pic![]()
At numerous locations here we have 20-25% of the parking spots being used for Tesla chargers, often they are the only open spots. I stopped for coffee/food a few months ago, me & another CCLB Dually took up 3 Tesla spots between us.Rockburner wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 8:40 am As said, unless there's a valid reason, that's just being a dick for the sake of being a dick. Its nonsensical dickishness like this that just drives rifts between people and causes more problems.

Immensely, the 20 or so chargers at the place I was at weren't even operational.
