Someone once commented on my successful marriage. I replied that it hadn’t been easy at times. My wife addded, yes things were tight and we couldn’t afford to split up!

The wife and I stayed together for 36 years but only because of the kids.

Neither of us wanted to keep them.

That was one of the ones at Castle Donnington I think? There were a few just down the road when I was at Uni in Loogabarooga in the early noughties. A couple at that pub in CD with the massive car park out the front*, then one or two just of J22 of the M1.

Edit:*which now appears to be an indian restaurant

Well, i've now been with Mrs Weeksy for 19 years since first introduced by Nicki from VD/TRC ....

Wowsers... 19 years... that's a lot.
Congrats both 😎

Round about now 20 years ago I first met Muz at a VD mem meet. @Rockburner might know the actual date, but other than 'March 2004' we have no clue 🤣

I think the first MemMeet was 2002? Or 2001? My memory for things like that is terrible. I also can't remember how many times we went to that pub in Castle Donnington, it was at least twice, then we went to the Victoria in Coalville for a few years, then moved to the pub/camping events near Derby.

I now wish I'd taken more records....
