Looks like there's a ratchet strap on the front brake hanger where the caliper is missing? Like some drag bikes I've seen. Which might also explain 1 disc?mangocrazy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 5:09 pmThere's something really wrong going on with how low the front end is and how close to the ground the belly pan/fairing is. Hmm, that seller's definition of "immaculate" (and his use of apostrophes , and OTT gushing description ) is way off, as this pic for one illustrates- that really won't look too great up close IMO....
This one is a lot more befitting of his "best anywhere" description and has some interesting (to me) add-ons /upgrades too- very different price point though, of course !

Not overly interesting but, I feel it's an 'interesting' way to keep a bike (It's been there a few weeks!)

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
Rode down to the local bike shop but were too busy to take it for the ITV(MOT). I remember now why I love the bike
These 2 were in the shop. Both 5 years old and looked like new.
I loved the Honda and the Z900 might have worked without the white stripe on fairing.
Cheesy might like it

I've looked at Z900RSs many times with a view to buying one, but there's something about them that doesn't float my boat, I think the proportions are wrong, the tank is too wide and the back end is too short, but ultimately they just look wrong.

Park one next to a proper Z1. The 900RS is too tall & too short.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 1:09 pm I've looked at Z900RSs many times with a view to buying one, but there's something about them that doesn't float my boat, I think the proportions are wrong, the tank is too wide and the back end is too short, but ultimately they just look wrong.

A mate spent big money on a Delkevic to bring his a bit closer to a Z1.ZRX61 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 4:05 pmPark one next to a proper Z1. Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
Still looks wrong, the 650 is better looking (but is missing two cylinders)
My dream bike would be one that rides like a modern bike but looks like an early 80s AMA Superbike, it's never going to happen, and building one is more difficult than it at first appeared.

Mate here did the same thing, but Doremi pipes (they made the originals for Kaw), lights, turn signals & engine covers etc... but he also has a *full set* of '73-'76 900's.
