Asked a friend of mine to call the equivalent of VOSA here about the Monster. She did and I now have a 12 page document to print and fill in, once I've done that and sent it off with all the other stuff they request, I will get an appointment for an engineer (mechanic? MOT type tester person?) to check the bike and (hopefully) give me a certificate I can use to register the bike here

Still crossing fingers, but somewhat more positive than before about succeeding :D :D :D

I took a couple on my 4WD volcano tour a few days ago. It's awesome.
They bought me lunch at my fave cafe over in La Santa.
Then bought me beer all night on Friday. At 1.50€ a pint, I was happy to accept.

Just been for another beer and they said that the couple had bunged 50€ behind the bar for me. WOW !!!!!

That's made my day.

Getting home to find my wife has stripped the wallpaper in the lounge. I was expecting to have to do that!

Out one day, an instructor assessment, which ended at the guy's home. A nice detached house in a secluded location.

His wife must have recognised the noise of his bike and decided to 'welcome' him by appearing at a bedroom window.

She obviously wasn't expecting a second bike. And rider.

I was a gentleman and looked away.

It wasn't mentioned again :)

Ah ok

We had one on the fence between us and neighbours. Which pigged him off a bit as he was out and missed it. He used to go down the town, using binoculars to watch a pair nesting on a building :D

They nest on the cathedral tower in town, we can see the cathedral tower from the house so I'm kinda surprised we don't see the Peregrines more often here, there's plenty of pigeons.

Me and Mrs Gremlin went to M&S. We parked a 10 minute walk away and ended up lugging half a dozen bags of groceries back to the car. As we're waiting at a crossing some school girl asks Mrs Gremlin if she wanted a hand carrying the shopping. We declined, but what a nice thing to offer.

Of course, Mrs Gremlin then commented that she obviously thought we looked fucking old.

I got sent a t-shirt by a lovely friend (sometimes of these parts!) back when I had a foster kitten - who was a bit bitey scratchy for a while!!

Wore it touring today, the mate I was with has a cat and so when we got back to the cafe after, I took off my coat and showed him the shirt!!

HUGE laughter when he says "can I take a picture of your t-shirt to send to Asta?" (his wife)!!!

I couldn't help howling with laughter cos I'm stood in my favourite cafe with a load of french and an old mate is essentially taking a photo of my boobs

Picture (well, one I took!!) -
