The only thing that changed when I went from Active to ANG was the color of my ID card. Same AFB, same rank, same job, same bosses.

Typical "I'm caught out by someone smarter than me, so resort to aggression and walk away quickly" Bet her mum's well proud!!
Miss Potty Mouth: kiss your Mum with them lips do we?
Re: This time next year, President Trump moves back into the Whitehouse...
Color me absolutely thrilled for you. Not quite to the point of sexual arousal though, so chill.
Back to the original post that started this shitshow. You claimed the army was sent to the subway in NYC. For argument's sake, you're in the Army, active duty, and you're stationed at Fort Hamilton. Your buddy, Carl, remember him, hasn't blown himself up yet and is serving in the National Guard. He resides in White Plains NY. Which one of you is the governor able to send to the NYC subway to assist in keeping weapons off the trains?

You may or may not be familiar with the origins of the space laser bit. Ms Greene was spouting shite about how Jews were using space lasers to start a wild fire in California. Turns out it was transmission lines, not that Q-anon loons are familiar with reality.
Texas' current big blaze has the same sort of cause.

Turns out that the fires *started* transmission lines are actually started by trees falling on the lines that would have been cut/trimmed/felled/managed if Benito Newsolini would just stop suing people (including the Fed Govt) for trying the manage the forests.Bwana wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 1:18 am You may or may not be familiar with the origins of the space laser bit. He also got busted for lying about how much forest clean up his program had done (it was about 10% of what he claimed).. & he also cut the fire mitigation budget by $500M just in time for one of the largest fires in State history.
but yeah, familiar with MTG's insane rantings.

Must be powerful. It takes a 200kW laser to do it from close by. Atmospheric scattering means the space ones must be pretty impressive and the battery packs must need some heavy lifting to get them up there. Impressive tech for MTGs terrrrists to have. You'd think we'd have spotted the launch site....maybe SpaceX is a double agent!

Can you buy them from ebay yet? A low power, say 50kW, will do for what I have in mind.

Hmm. 50kW is still military grade. There are engineering ones rated at that but the trick is to get continuous output. Lots of one shot lasers are rated as high power because they release the energy in a fraction of a second pulse.Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 8:06 am Can you buy them from ebay yet? Would sir be needing pulse or continuous output for the task in mind?
(I used to faff about with lasers at work and had an argon ion tuneable (you could change the beam colour) laser to play with. It was pretty chunky and needed a decent water pressure for cooling purposes...it was probably rated at 25-50 Watts ).

No need to be homeless. Hop on a ferry to France, get in a dinghy to your RNLI water taxi and arrive back in the UK to a heated home and wages!Horse wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 7:27 amHmmm Imagine that ...Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 6:53 amImagine if your society was based around making sure nobody had to live under an overpass though, rather than the president being a figurehead for "every man for himself"
The Criminal Justice Bill is a new piece of legislation being introduced by the UK Government. The Bill contains new powers for police and local authorities to enforce against so-called 'nuisance rough sleeping' in England and Wales. These powers include being moved on, a fine up to £2,500 and even imprisonment.

If your accommodation provides your meals
You’ll get £8.86 for each person in your household instead.
If you’ve been refused asylum but you’re still eligible for support
You’ll be given:
somewhere to live
£49.18 per person on a payment card for food, clothing and toiletries (or £8.86 per person if your accommodation provides your meals)
You will not be given:

Military grade was what I had in mind. Lethal, precise, silent and no worries about the beaten zone behind the target. Pulse will do, but needs to deliver significant power on the target, sufficient to vaporise it would be ideal. Hence the 50 kW.Count Steer wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 8:16 amHmm. 50kW is still military grade. There are engineering ones rated at that but the trick is to get continuous output. Not sure if you are trolling or not but just in case:

Priti Patel did absolutely nothing about migrants, whilst talking a good game, and handing the French more money to do nothing. Braverman did nothing - but talks like she is the great migrant repeller post being sacked.
The Conservative government could actually try doing something. The Border Force are, after all, civil servants.
The RNLI, and the volunteers who work for them , should not have to rescue migrants coming across the channel - but the government and border force refuse to take any affirmative action.
Priti/Suella/ Boris/ Rees Mogg etc should be working on stopping people getting into boats and using their paid employees to do so.
But we, as the RNLI, will not let people drown - whether it is pissed up Essex boys on jetskis off Southend, or illegal migrants in the channel.
Last comment on the subject - have you had look at how many migrants get here by other methods?
Re: This time next year, President Trump moves back into the Whitehouse...
Yes about 45 000 for the same year that the RNLI only rescued 108.Mr Moofo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 4:34 pmI think he was just trying to confirm the Essex stereotypeJamJar wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 4:18 pmNot sure if you are trolling or not but just in case:

Reminds me. I nearly didn't get the job where I was playing with lasers because I'm red/green colour blind. The old giffer in charge thought I might not be able to see the laser beams. I'd already resigned my old job.ZRX61 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 4:44 pmJust remember not to stare into a laser with your remaining eye...Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 1:11 pm Military grade was what I had in mind. (They dragged me all the way from North Wales back to London to see the company doctor for an eye test. After comprehensive testing we agreed, yes, I'm red/green colour blind and no, there's absolutely no problem seeing red, green or any other sort of beam - well, UV, IR or X-ray laser beams might be an issue, but then they would be for everyone else too They paid expenses for the trip too. Then, when I was working with them they paid for me to go to a Harley Street eye specialist to make sure I'd suffered no retinal damage every year...I could have gone to the local opticians!).

What's the 'only' mean?
That they should have saved more, or 'only 108 people who might have drowned'?
