Of course you've then got the problem of wondering what's gone wrong to cut out your tunes every sodding time it does it.

I tried that and it pissed me off so much hence i switched it off completely....i prefer to rely on my concentration and looking ahead to spot cameras, vans and shit rather than a ping from a program

In reality, you're probably right, but i don't have a clue what I could replace it with. I think the only offering would be
a later model, but i'm not that keen on tft screens, or a leccy bike? One thing I do know is I'm not currently comsidering anything, which is very unusual for me...

A bit of an update. The tyres feel a lot better than the knobblies that were on there, but I was still finding it odd. I realised tonight that is more the way the 21" front wheel steers the bike. I'm getting used to it now though and the new tyres have certainly given me more confidence in the adjustment. I had a XT660R with the same size front wheel and got rid of it because of the way it steered, but that wont be happening here as I'm just enjoying getting used to it and everything about it.

I changed the exhaust and then messed around with the db killer in and out. The Rapid Bike Pro, or whatever its called, is supposed to compensate for any minor fuelling adjustments, but apparently, its takes a few hundred miles to relearn the new fuelling tables. It must have done it now as the fuelling is pretty faultless, with no lean surging at all. As most will know, this is my biggest gripe with any bike, so i'm really chuffed its not an issue with this bike.

TBH I'm just properly chuffed with it overall. I did wonder if the width of the thing would be an issue, but slowing me down in traffic is a good thing. I'm so comfy on it, I think i'm just more laid back riding and not in any rush. This is backed up by my not going straight home on it every night and taking a longer route down some back roads, because I just like being on it!

It'll be sold before summer is out.

Just washed my bike, I can never manage to do it in under 2hrs. To be fair it was dirty for me but even trying not to go mad it takes ages. It'll need doing again before winter, tempted to use these boys so it's ACF'D as well as my garage gets fairly damp. Was it 80 quid for the lot?

Don't blame you for your use, riding every day, all weather's. Doesn't seem bad value for sitting in my garage all spangly

I do think I should be less anal. I'm certainly wearing the hat whilst I do it.

Usually I rinse, spray body work with muc off/Oxford stuff/s100 whatever to loosen the flies/dirt, rinse then wash with Maguires shampoo. Then move onto forks/mudguard/front wheel, then engine, rear shock/swingarm/rear wheel etc All the same as the bodywork order of things. I find the sprays dry in 5 mins so end up doing sections at a time. Then I dry it all.

Back in the old days when I wasn't a sad kunt the bike would get a 30 min tosh over at most. And I'd be using the bike in all weather's. I've become a sad old twat basically, polishing his sports car rather than drinking beer instead

I did, but it would have been more enjoyable if I was sitting in the garden rather than washing a bike

Another real bonus with this bike is the 200 mile tank range. My commute is c60 miles a day so this covers that snd gives me the extra for the slightly longer rides home I find myself taking. Much win here!
