The BBC has the story today about the laptop and Twitter cover up but they buried it in a story about Trump.

I'm curious to know how everyone is so aware of this laptop story, given that it's not in the media.

Not that unlikely. I saw a lecture recently by a Russian journalist who started her career just before the USSR collapsed, it was an admission that all of the Russian media companies collaborated to keep the communist candidate out of power. They made sure Yeltsin was voted in and cleared the way for Putin to abuse it even more

I think there's a difference between burying important news and treating it with disdain.

UK news usually love a bit of twitter and Facebook foul play. Throw in some FBI skullduggery and it'd make a great story to take the focus off the energy crisis.

In which they claim Trump called for the end of the US Constitution.. & then when you read what he actually posted, that's not what he said at all.

You mean not in the media you read or listen to? I got 30 days in FB pokey for posting a meme that shows Hunter Biden surrounded by coke & not wearing a shirt.
FB claims the violation was for "sharing intimate images". It's one of the pics from his laptop.

Sorry, I’m obviously missing something, Hunter Biden surrounded by coke and not wearing a shirt is newsworthy because….?

Because he lied on a gun application about not being a drug user & therefore committed a felony.... Now change the perp to one of Trump's kids & think about it a bit.
Also: The FBI lied about it by claiming it was Russian misinformation when they knew it wasn't, told the media that lie & changed the outcome of the last election.
Yeah, probably not newsworthy... yanno, because the orange man made mean tweets.

It's not in the mainstream. There are a huge variety of non-dopey media outlets - pick one. How exactly do you think Biden and the FBI are controlling world media?

You're living in cloud cuckoo land -
- nobody outside of Fox News is giving two shits about the Biden laptop or any of the other supposed mini scandals.
- nobody cares about ridiculing Trump any more, there's no point.

And that's what astounds me.

Everywhere, people criticise politicians for being useless, incompetent, bumbling, etc.

But then those same politicians are, apparently, able to - successfully - exert immense control in ways barely imaginable, but hardly anyone knows

It might not be a conspiracy, it could just be the media companies acting in their own best interests. That's nothing new but what is odd is Twitter choosing to suppress the topic without a good reason, the FBI probably have some explaining to do as well.

I suppose, while there was/is any question about the laptop and the contents, particularly over it being a fit up by the >insert suspects here< some media and the FBI would soft-pedal on it while the right wing, swivel-eyed Trumpets and their media expect them to leap on it because it suits them to believe everything that fits their own narrative.

There are more than enough reasons to be a bit :hmmm: about it all.

Actually, I meant 'everywhere' - although you could probably ignore the Russian, North Korean, etc. politicians, they don't need to be subtle - rather than the Biden laptop in particular.

But we've had posters on here telling us how brain dead Joe is, yet it seems it's all an act - he's actually successfully micromanaging the FBI to control the mass media. Which is it, sleepy or super?

Or he's a puppet! Or he's an alien!
But I can't tell you what my source is and don't you dare snigger at my naivety.

I'd have a bit more time for the conspiracy theorists if they were a bit more consistent about their targets, the rationale, and just how all this control is being exercised in plain sight, whilst at the same being globally hushed up. Biden is a silly old fool (and yet a genius). Trump is a genius, despite all the appearances of being a silly old fool.

The sleepy Joe bit seems rather over-hyped, Reagan managed ok.

Perhaps you could provide a link to the post where I mentioned the words "deep state" (apart from this one, obviously)
