I ain't seen these in red, but was looking at the new tracer in red and it's a surprisingly nice colour in real life. Just thought I'd chuck it in, to help the decision making.

If it's 2020 pre reg, the warranty will almost be run.

3 year warranty on new Suzuki and reg Dec 20 so should run till Dec 23.

They'll be getting a call as soon as they open to see what they'll do on trade in.

So had a night to think about stuff and this is where I'm currently at.

Tracer. Had I not ridden the GSX I think I'd have phoned Weeksy straight away to ask him to look at the one in Blade for me. I did really like it.

GSXS. I can't get away from the fact this bike really struck something in me. That hooligan aspect I suspect but whatever it is its totally turned my head. Its not just the monster engine and it is monstrous indeed it was the package. It felt tight, compact and together like it'd flow perfectly down the ideal twisty road. Don't get me wrong I'm sure the Tracer would too but the GSX had so much more feel and feedback.

So I think the GSX is definitely top at the moment. Only fly in the ointment is would I be better off with the 750? I suspect the only win for the 750 is its engine being more real world usable and easier to exploit. And price. I can get nearly new for 6800. But the 1000 is 1k more and nicer looking frame/swingarm and more gucci bits. I'm currently thinking get the 1000.

The shop with the pre reg is not open till Monday but will call them first thing to see about trade in. Finances aren't tight, I'm just careful with money is all, maybe I'm from Yorkshire originally

Not mad keen on the all white scheme on the pre reg, having a white car which is a pain in the arse, but needs must with deals sometimes. Hope it works out.

As you say the Thou gets all the nice bits, it's got an alloy frame and swingarm, fully adjustable suspension, the fat bars and those overkill Brembos.

The 750 is a shopping bike in comparison. It's easier to ride the 1000 slower than it is to make the 750 faster, etc...

Are you succumbing to the peer pressure yet or do we need to try harder?

The only reasons to buy the 750 are price or you like revving an engine, the rear shock on the 750 is very budget, it's like a shock from the 80s.

They are delivering it 25 Feb which is the earliest they can do. Which is annoying as my 690 insurance runs out on the 22nd So need to look into some sort of short term insurance.

The bike has a warranty till Dec 23. First service is quoted at £250 by Suzuki I'll see what Letchworth or St Neott's prices are like. Apparently I can go to any VAT registered place but think for the first service at least I'll use Suzuki.

So milky bars are on me

Will stick a new bike fred up soon.

Bloke put me on hold to check the price for me. Came back on and said 'Sorry for laughing but I've just checked as Suzuki have a guide price for all servicing now and it's £250 which is well over the top". He only said that as he knew I wouldn't be going there for servicing as they are in Brighton. Hoping Letchworth don't use the Suzuki price!
