The further south you go the more disappointing the sunrises and sunsets become, they just don't last long enough for me.

So it takes you nearly an hour to catch up with where I'm currently sat.

Or to put it another way, if it's say 50% dark for me at 8pm, it won't get 50% dark for you until nearly 9.

Or is that the other way around? :D

Here ya go:
A 20-year-old man was shot to death during a “prank” robbery staged for social media Friday night in Tennesse, KTLA sister WKRN in Nashville reports. Timothy Wilks was shot and killed in a parking lot at Urban Air on Old Hickory Boulevard in Hermitage around 9:20 p.m., according to a news release from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

Detectives were told Wilks and a friend were participating in a “prank” robbery as part of a YouTube video and approached a group of people, including the shooter, with butcher knives.
A 23-year-old man told police he wasn’t aware the robbery was a prank and shot Wilks, saying his actions were in “self-defense,” according to the release. No charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.

Got a call from a friend this morning. He bought a sled for his boy a few years back and over the course of those years there has been bugger-all snow so it ended up in the outside, brick-built storage cupboard. This morning saw thick snow, so his son got up all excited, they donned their warmest gear and set off to get the sled. The door to the storage cupboard has no handle, so he uses the Chubb key to pull it open. Of course, this morning it was all frozen solid and as he wrestled with the door, the key snapped in the lock.

Cue him ringing around to see if he could ponce a sled off of anybody.

I know it's cruel, but I did have to laugh at the irony of it all......

(I have no sled, but I gave him priceless info, that a wheelie bin led, liberally sprayed with furniture polish, is as good as any shop-bought sled)

KFCs twitter only follows 11 people. The five spice girls and 6 blokes named Herb. 11 herbs and spices. :D

A really really big fart.

Admit it, it’s one of life’s little pleasures, the feeling of relief and satisfaction.

I'm on a few racing groups on Facebook, mainly 80s stuff and just lately folk have been putting up photos of the meeting programs.

It's great seeing my name in so many of them and start thinking of all the others in the same race and how many I remember. I wasn't the best of the bunch by a long chalk, but I had as much fun as all of them :)

We did 25 meetings in 1982 as we were just starting out. But we learned a bit how to cut costs and we did 40 meetings in 1983 :)

My best pal built the engine over the winter, very carefully and it did all 40 meetings with no problems. He went on to mechanic for the best teams in BSB and Euro 500 series.

Even better is when you've been dying for a piss and holding that fart in for fear of wetting yourself. The piss and the fart together - Heaven.

I happened upon a couple of blokes this morning, one was crouched down with a handful of rice krispies and a Robin was eating out of his hand.

Well cool I thought. 8-)

Had brunch brought to me whilst I was working, which would be an event in itself (the brunch being made for me I mean, not the working) , but was a double surprise and made me smile too :)

Not quite insignificant. House sale is getting there. Had to provide Gas Safety Certificate, got that the same day. Boiler packed the following day, got that repaired the same day, need electrics certifications, getting that on Monday. Why do they leave it to the last minute to ask these questions? Exchange is next week and completion is 20th March (so far anyhow). So endeth 9 months of selling sagas during Covid and for the amount we needed to clear the LQGroup half and our mortgage with enough left to make a deposit on a small flat somewhere with a very small mortgage to pay off in 10 years or sooner. Weight off our shoulders! Now to go property hunting come April (if I have any energy left!)
