Fair dos,young feller. It's not been even nice enough this week to walk from the house to the garage.

Today I drove the car for the first time in a week,it took about 15 minutes to scrape off all the frozen snow & ice.Looking at the forecast It'll be some time next week before the bike gets rolled out..

90% of the reason I don't ride in winter is that, only 10% due to the actual weather itself.

30 mins with the ACF-50 = as much riding as you want.

That’s true, but the up side is that 5hrs ride is still only 5hrs cleaning. So….

I use XCP and it still looks great after 27k miles.

36 kilometers took over an hour. Mostly compact but several sections of sand. There were a few moments, and I'll not do that again. It was the Sat Nav wot made me do it.

That’s the sort of photo that brings “range anxiety” to mind - electric or otherwise!

also is that Hampshire type sand (i.e. south) or more exotic;)

I'm not an expert on types of sand. Is there much of a difference except for the colour ?
Definitely down south though,as you can see from the blue sky.

I'd rather have a quad bike on that, looks ace though. Where's that on the big map. ?

It was a mistake on my part for making this choice. I nearly dropped it 3 or 4 times. No vehicles came either way in that time so if I’d had an issue I would have been on my own for a fair while, and yes , 4 wheels would have been better.

Will do, around April June. It'll be too hot there now. My "base" is just on the edge of the dirt. Currently high 30's low 40's.

Two oul relics.

Seeing as the ice & snow's mostly gone we went out for a mid week spin,first ride of the year.
This W800 was at the local bike shop,first time I've seen one outside,I liked it's classic retro looks.



The roadside grass was occasionally covered in frost but we avoided any black ice.



We had a brew & catch up at our local brew stop & the main talking point was that Barry who had 5 different bikes in 2024 & currently owns a Triumph Scrambler is now thinking of selling it .FFS,we're only halfway through January & I gave it until Easter before he sold it!
