Brief update.
SC Project AFM controller works well. I knew it would never cure things completely, but since I dialled it up to 6.5, it certainly proved its worth, with the bike being a lot more rideable. Win!
I find the steering a bit odd, but i think its the tyres? They are Diablo Rosso somthing or others. I feel like they follow every little groove in the road? Are these sticky tyres doing what they should do? Not a problem, just something I've noticed?
I'm getting used to a few of the oddities they are known for and they are annoying me less. e.g. grabby clutch, especially when cold. Very easy to stall. Apparently, some people add another plate, or some clutch kit? Think i'll live with it.
Fork dive is crazy. Always said a SP version of anything is wasted on me, which it probably is, but it would have been nice to have had some adjustability in the front forks for sure! If I ended up keeping it, something would need to be done there.
Brakes feel smooth and progressive but not too powerful like I find some brakes to be. Yet I've had the ABS kick in at low speeds when grabbing the brakes more on this bike than any other bike i've owned? Might be because it makes you ride like a twat! Just as well it has ABS really!
By the end of the week, my knee aches, but not too bad. I think the gear lever is too high which isn't helping. Looks like its a bit more involved than just one bolt to adjust, so I'll look into that. But in the main, I'm just stoked I can ride it!
Tis a thirsty beast compared to my MT09. That was high 50s, this is mid 40s. Might be the AFM controller, might be me, might be nature of the beast?
So, will I keep it? Doubt it, but at the moment its certainly not going anywhere! At the moment I'm in love with it. I mean really in love with it. These bikes are an absolute hoot to commute on and I look forward to every ride! Happy days!
