Having ridden a Guzzi in the past, I do understand their appeal. They do seem to attract the same sort of owners as old BMW airheads. I am guessing it is the fraternity of the biking world that doesn't need a gazillion BHP , fairing wings and lap timers to do track days at Mallory, but those who ride to have an expresso, a roll up ciggy, and a croissant.
They are small - but they are made by Italians - and they do modify nicely.

It's a fuck ton prettier than the standard SZR660.

They're not that vibey as they have a balance shaft, they're not very powerful, I'd guess a genuine 40bhp for a standard one, race engines make double that, but are a bit fragile.

I got on the one we had at the training school in Kent expecting to love it.

In fact, it was the worst bike I've ever ridden... the lights were useless, the forks twisted under hard braking, the chrome was falling off the exhaust, paint coming off the tank, and the five speed gearbox was unusable with the higher road gearing - you had to rev the nuts off it in each gear to get to the usable band in the next gear... if you were going uphill or into a headwind, forget it - it wouldn't get out of 3rd.

And I really, REALLY LIKE singles!
