Those 'little jobs' when you think 'Great, got half an hour or so, I'll just......'

An hour+ later, you have -

Got the Dremel and all the bits out
Got the (battery) drill and all the bits out
Got the serious drill out because the battery one won't take an 8mm bit
Found you haven't got an 8mm HSS bit
Got the wire strippers, cutters, crimpers out and half wired the thing
Decided white cable looks leary
Found you haven't got the right black cable
Realised the junction box that's in place really won't do
Spent half an hour on the Screwfix site ordering everything you actually need
Put the tools away and thought bugger it. I'll pick up the stuff from Screwfix tomorrow and do it another day.

Sir needs to upgrade his toys. My Makita 18v jobby takes a 12mm drill :obscene-birdiedoublered:

My battery drill is a Makita 18v but I didn't need a bigger one.

'Cos I've got a Makita core drill, (with clutch) that will. :D (You could probably start old cars with it instead of using a starting handle). I did have an even bigger SDS drill but I sold it to someone that broke it.

Just been and checked, the 18v battery one does take 12mm. I thought it looked the same as yours in the other thread. I didn't try properly 'cos I didn't have the right type/size bit. I half heartedly tried with a masonry bit*. :(

* I was getting a bit fed up at this point. :D

I've just recieved a debt collection notice for a private parking 'fine' back in November for £170.
It's the first letter I've recieved about it but when I go onto the parking company's website it says I can't contest it because it's been passed to a collection agency.
Is this a new tactic to do away with those pesky appeals?
I use the car park often to do the allowed station pick ups but have not parked there so this really bmp.

Looking at the photos it's obvious what happened, it recorded me doing the drop off in the morning and pick up in the evening.

Everybody.

I have these 'dark days' when everything and everyone angers me. Today I had an altercation with a driver on the Blackwall Tunnel approach which I should have ignored, but I ended up getting off the bike, pulling the guy's door open and telling him what he could do with his horn.

My colleagues are fucking me off at the moment. I'm really short with them, even though I know I'm the problem, not them.

I even hate yous lot at the minute.

Spam fritters is the food of gods. Pardon the pun.
A spam fritter has not passed my lips in the last 50 years.
They were nasty greasy things then, I suspect they still are.

Yep

I’ve missplaced my tact and diplomacy skills at work this week and been doling out large portions of telling colleagues in other depts exactly what I think of their work practices :P

You're not the only one who gets like that, so don't think you're the only one who finds it hard to deal with.

Aww. Just think of all our pink, well scrubbed, happy little, optimistic faces. That'll make you smile.

Hmmm. On second thoughts, budge up, I'm with you on this one.

I've been watching some of those "Fail Army: Terrible Drivers" vids on YouTube and there's an awful lot of road rage and folk being shot, driven over, punched in the head in retaliation.

Be careful out there, you auld git! ;)
