The Christmas lights are up in the village down the road (I say village, it's a few houses and not much else). I was in one of the shopping centres in Elche this morning, still no decorations.
I wore my winter jacket without the lining and mid season gloves today. I should have gone for the mesh jacket and gloves, it was a balmy 24⁰ in Elche.
Carry the Christmas theme on.

The Spanish love their Christmas lights! Even where I live is crammed with them
Have you been to Alicante? The Nativity scene is the biggest in Europe I think.

Wifey and I are just back from a couple of nights in Alicante. I snapped this a couple of weeks ago when I was out on the piss with a mate.

Took the orange bike out for a little post-fettling (thread update to follow) test blast around the local lanes yesterday afternoon, passed this on the way home, is a crap photo , looked gaudier IRL, shame it wasn't a bit later as it really is quite exceptional in the dark

It's frosty as fook here today,so there'll be no bike action for a while. Looks like one of those days when the street never thaws.

So…. Now that the recent Christmas is sort of past, should we think again?
E.g. your bike with signs of spring? (Idea pinched from elsewhere…)

Daffodils in Lindfield.
Keep it going but let's see some dry tarmac.

Dry tarmac?

On many local roads tarmac, wet or dry, is in short supply. Potholes and gravel is the new surface of choice.

I saw some potholes yesterday that would have destroyed the bike if I'd have hit them. Also a few large puddles/mini fords which I don't mind unless they are hiding potholes.
Dry tarmac is a challenge, but there was quite a bit by the afternoon so not unreasonable

Yes. For a bolt in the foot peg or something not urgent. I did ask about the excessive oil consumption issue and I can't remember exactly what they said. We agreed that it's not an issue if I don't ride the bike

I will be keeping an eye on it and will take the bike to Honda when the weather is better for any recalls.
