A publican told us a story about a customer of his who got pissed up and drove home as people often did in the 70s. Anyway, he lost control on a bend and rolled his car and he was thrown out of the car. He was knocked unconscious and woke up in a field with absolutely no idea of how he got there! The funny bit was his car landed the other side of a hedge and he didnt see it. Later that day he went to the pub to collect his car and it wasn't there, he thought it had been stolen and reported it. He was really angry when Plod found it smashed up in a farmers field. It was only when they gave the location he's memory returned!

(Had to spend an extra night in Israel once while they flew an engineer or two out from the UK to fix a problem on our plane. They attempted to comfort us by telling us that those responsible for the repair would be flying back with us.
