All CCD does is post links to other sources, often Government sources, & they allow you to view reports from places behind paywalls etc. We already had one muppet on here badmouth CCD & then post a link to a report that agreed with his viewpoint/agenda... that was also on CCD.
Maybe I'll add the links to the paywalled sources you can't see...

Saw it at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last year. If they actually build it as they did the prototype version, they'll sell loads. It really looked like a modern Renault 5 turbo.

Yeah that's what I thought, an electric hot hatch, if performance matches the looks then it will be great.
It looks fucking hidious!

I really am not a fan of modern day car styling.

You think the old style Renault 5 looks better?

I saw a thing about the new '5' and thought....'Ooh, there's a possibility'.

(I had a new, but quite old style, Renault 5 when I was commuting from Norf to Sarf Lunnon and back (right through the middle) and, when I sold it it looked like it had been on hire to a war correspondent  ).

Tis a good point. As Iccy says i suppose the ruded up GT Turbo's looked ok but in standard guise they were also pretty hidious.

I love the original 5. Yeah they're a shopping basket with an asthmatic engine etc, but that's what they're about!

My Mum had 2 in succession when I was growing up, then a couple of 1st gen Clios as well. Much love for crappy small French hatchbacks in our household

Her second Clio was a 5 door actually. I can't imagine a family of 4 being satisfied with just a little hatchback these days. You need an enormous SUV.

You can pick up a 2nd hand Honda-e for less than £15k, they're quite funky, shame about the range.

I guess a lot were sold on three year PCP deals and got handed back.

Theres a shit load for sale, but the nearest one to me on Auto Trader is a 70 plate Standard Range Plus with just under 50k on the clock for £21k!
Quite a few round here too. Are you tempted? Nice long range, dual motor Ludicrous edition, 0-60 in just over 2 seconds... 8-)

The wife wants a change, she only commutes 4 miles each way and gets free car charging at work.

I don't think she'd go for a Tesla tho', she has mentioned how 'nice' the I-Pace looks, they're similar prices, but they've a reputation for being very unreliable, much like most JLR products :)

iPaces are indeed nice. One of my old colleagues visited my place of work once, in his iPace. He was working for JLR at the time so it wasn't actually his. I commented on how nice his car was, so he just chucked me the keys and told me to take it for a spin :D

4 miles each way though?

My parents and my brother both have electric minis for those sorts of journeys. They really like 'em. I think the union jack tail lights are utter gash.

Well she's doing the commute at the moment in 300+ bhp SL350, she wouldn't want a downgrade.

That's the ideal use-case-scenario for a small electric car, but it's still probably more green to keep your current car until it's on it's last legs.

She could use the £450 Raleigh Lady's shopping bike she insisted buying four years ago... and ridden twice.

JLR seem to have a bit of a shocking reputation for reliability.

Our marketing girl has had an Evoque for 6 months, it was back at the dealers three times in the first month, she can't wait to get rid of it and wants a leccy Ford of all things.

I've been researching I-Paces and the owners experiences of the cars and especially the Jag stealerships are astonishingly bad.
