The thought of existing (in whatever shape or form) for eternity is absolutely terrifying.

I'm not sure what's worse.... the fact i'll know i'm gone, or the fact i'll never know anything again... will i know i don't know... or will i not... if i don't... that's... well... bad.
Life's a bitch and then you die.

That's middle aged realisation, acceptance should follow in a while. Go buy yourself a flashy motor to feel better.weeksy wrote: Thu Jan 13, 2022 8:44 amWell that's the thing about faith isn't it...
You may be completely wrong and we could live in some bizarre world where we DO go somewhere.... unless you can go there, how would you ever know. It's far from impossible...
But it's nice to think there's something.... because the alternative is quite frankly terrifying.

Sob story on the beeb about inflation and affording stuff, but the big moan is:
Welcome to life, when my kids were small I couldn't afford to splash a few hundred quid on Alton Towers either but it didn't matter as my kids loved going to parks and playgrounds. She just wants someone to give her money so she can put photos on social media of her flashing the cash. She said she "can't afford to take the kids on day trips out and stuff like that".
"At the weekend, I have to go out on a walk with them and make it fun in that way."

This didn't BMP but it was very odd;-
I picked up my guest from afternoon drinks at a posh place here in Courchevel. He was telling me how the people on the next table were drinking Dom Perignon at €10,000 a bottle, their total bill was €90,000 (yes you did read that right).
My guest was saying how that was a disgusting amount of money to spend on Apres drinks. I asked him how much they'd spent on his brother's birthday meal earlier in the week (the deposit at the time of booking was €100 per person!!). I then pointed out that to many people what they spent on lunch was disgusting ! In fairness he did fully accept my point.

It had to happen sooner or later, I just went to the fridge to grab a steak slice I bought yesterday only to find it's a 'no steak slice'.

As I've said loads of times, we should applaud these rich people splashing what seems like obscene amounts on stuff. That's trickle down in action!
Would you rather they just kept it all locked up?

The taste was ok but I don't feel great now, some mushrooms do that to me and I didn't think to check the long list of ingredients first.
Aside from the mushrooms I'd probably have them again if they weren't more expensive than steak slices. Looking at the ingredients I wouldn't buy it as a healthy or eco friendly option, after water and wheat palm oil is the biggest ingredient.

Fcuking idiot drivers who keep left to turn right!
I have had 3 in the last 2 days!
First one was about a foot from the kerb, and 6 foot from the white line, stationary on a wide road, waiting to turn right.
Second one was in LH lane entering a roundabout, I was in RH lane signaling right to take 3rd exit. Turns out he wants the 3rd exit too.
And the 3rd comes up to a double roundabout linked by a bridge over a major road hugging the LH lane. Signs and arrows show LH lane is for left turn at first roundabout, everything else is RH lane. He actually wants 3rd exit on 2nd roundabout.
