They probably wouldn't have liked being called 'tresspassers' or 'water/wildlife botherers' either.Felix wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 10:55 pm Just got banned from a facebook Wild Swimming page. No one could tell me what was wild about it as it was just called swimming by non pretentious folk. Last straw was telling them i am away for a Wild Walk to ALDI for some milk. I only joined 10 minutes earlier

Re: A right now thread
Sat in Istanbul Airport and just been informed of a 5 hour departue delay. We were due to take off at 02:35.
This is not good - we have a train to catch in Hanoi 1.5 hours after our new scheduled arrival time. M is on the case but it's not looking good.

Just opened up the 23rd door on my advent calendar. At 61 this is the first time i have had one so was surprised and disappointed that it only went up to the 24th. I always presumed you got a 25th sweet.

Saved Christmas
Dog chewed the connector off a set of tree lights. Which are integrated into the tree.
Not a pretty result, but they work (after soldering them the wrong way and re-doing).

Sorted out my bike tracker, which has been complaining about a lack of connection for longer than I should have left it

Yes, thanks Taipan. M managed to get the booking changed to a later train which we boarded from a little used station further up the line. Not as plush as the one we missed but it got us to the right place.

Well, we found out yesterday that our friend John had died the day before. He was a massive gambling fiend.
Her in doors sent flowers to the widow.
The jackpot just paid for them, the wife is taking it as some kind of weird gamblers karma.

Right now buzzing with pride.
Mrs Y was supposed to fly to UK on Boxing Day to see all her family for 6 days. They are very close.
But she's so worried about me, that she wouldn't have enjoyed the trip.
I tried to push her and could probably have coped, but no.
She had a big smile so no negativity from her.
Gonna try to do what I can to make it special for her.
