Its bloody bedding and slippers we keep loosing. Oh and your wet laminate. The stuff in my hall was just cheap shit and now needing replaced as the odd puppy pee has it curling up at the edges. Im sure she just pisses next to the puppy pads to piss me off

I put that laiminate down about 15 or more years ago. It was from Howdens and is incredibly hard wearing and durable, unlike the shite we've used in other rooms from Wickes etc. The wife has been after getting it replaced for a good few years now, but i'm really reluctant to do so for the aforementioned reasons. Hearing all the tales of woe from dog owners about how their little darlings piss all over the place, ruin floors, curtains, shoes in fact everything which isn't at roof level makes me so glad we have a cat. A well-behaved cat that knows what a litter tray is for and uses it, and the most damage he's caused is by doing the cat trick of tapping things until they fall off the edge. And even then it's only stuff that doesn't matter, like corks and bottle tops.
He has never, ever pissed or shat anywhere other than his litter tray or 'outside'. Even as a kitten on his first day in the house.

Last night he waltzed (more tango'd) into the second sitting room whilst we were sat in there and noisily pissed on the curtains. He got a proper telling off for that. They have a dirt tray that they all use. (We have moved recently) I have put most of it down to stress, but beginning to think the old 'un might have an infection.
In fairness we have moved from a very remote house in Wales to a housing estate in Worle, so although it is quiet, it is relatively busy with a fox population and resident cats.

Also we can't walk past a recycling bag on the pavement without him barking at the bag.
It's odd cos he's been brought up about 90% the same as our friendly and pretty chilled bull lurcher thing.
Whenever I mention it to people they just reply witb the words "Small Man Syndrome" and suggest that its a breed trait.
I'm not really convinced that small man syndrome is really a thing, let alone that it applies to the Frenchie.
I'll just have to give the little guy a bit more time and effort I guess. Not the end of the world but nust makes taking for a walk more like hard work. He's about 2 now.

The males of a lot of these breeds do tend to be a bit more feisty in general. The only other cat I've owned (if indeed you can 'own' a cat) was fine until another dominant tom cat moved into his manor, whereupon he would piss in certain corners. I suspected he was scent marking his territory, after the other cat had entered the house through the cat flap. After a month or so the other cat disappeared and the pissing in corners stopped. With our current cat, we don't have a cat flap, or rather I am the human cat flap whenever Wilko needs to go in or out of the house. But no other cats can get in, so the house is his safe space and he scent marks it using acceptable means (rubbing his face/chin on stuff).

Pup has get sister staying fir a couples of days. Feckers have basically been fighting since 4 this afternoon! Finally crashed out together!!

Got daughters dog a new jacket for winter, he's ecstatic about his new look...
Joking aside, it's a fairly good quality jacket. Thick waterproof outer, good strong velcro and a strong flexible rubbery bit around the hole on the back for the harnes loop to go through.
Got one for our and daughters dog, our Bull lurcher is on the smaller end of Large and daughters Frenchie (it's fairly lean cos its always trashing about with our dog) is at the large end of extra small.
This is them together, from a distance cos every time I point a camera at them they turn towards me and the photo op goes away.

We've just pushed through that phase and not given the little spud any choice.
Once our dogs about and he's either sitting in a sulk or trashing about with our dog he gets over his strop fairly sharpish.
Still does that shake as if he's trying to dry off thing and seems to hope the jacket might have shaken off.
Our dog just doesn't seem to care about them and although he might not need a jacket as often as I put it on him it's a damn site simpler to put the jacket in the wash than the dog after he rolls in fox shite.
He seems to know the six figure grid reference of every bit of fox shite* on the park.
