It's called bokeh. It's arty, filmic.

Still annoying though. Like the trend a few years ago for wobbly framing, as though the cameraman was hand holding and running. Inevitable if you are a bloke with a camera in a war zone, but just irritating in a professional film made in a studio.

Oh good grief yes, feckin annoying. IIRC it started with Hill Street Blues (where it was used well).

There can be technical advantages from using wobbly cam as it can disguise edits (using the electronic editing technique of corner pinning to blend separate shots).

From the arty perspective, hand-held camera can be used as mental shorthand to suggest 'furtive', such as someone hiding and watching ....

But over-use is fuggin annoying.

Borken more like.
It's just shite and looks like everyone in the editing suite was a sixth former.

Not sure how come everyone seems to be using it now though.
For the odd time I can see its got merit but its used where its just distracting.

Probably just because they want to be on trend?

A bit like the Scandi programme that are all drained of colour. And probably loads of other similar trends.

My hearing aid has gone pop. Second time this has happened with this brand of hearing aids. Danalogic Ambio 98. The external microphones have stopped working. Bluetooth and T-Loop still work, so I can use computer and phone, but I cannot hear anyone talking to me in the real world! Thankfully I have an old hearing aid that still works for real world hearing, but it is old and misses out on a lot of the frequencies I've got used to hearing! Off to hospital tomorrow to try and get something sorted asap. Funerals and weddings are happening and I need to be able to hear!

I see what you did there, Holy Spigot!

Sadly many funerals, one of which is my dear friend who I have known most of my life. I cannot even be at that funeral as it is in SA and I am taking a funeral on the same day here in Eltham at the same time, so cannot watch it either. But a wedding is a time of rejoicing, so something to look forward to in February.

unsubscribing from retail websites which you didn't want to receive email promotions from in the first place.
spent fucking ages over the last few days trying to make my personal email inbox actually usable.
sites that give you an unsubscribe option but then make it a circular process. They need to be burned with fire.

You saying that i had a few ebay sellers who also signed me up to newsletters. They took an age to unsubscribe but i now get inundated to porn or shag a 60 year old sites. No matter how many times you hit unsubscribe they never stop. Lucky they all go into junk but starting to piss me off now.

I have the Wordscapes app to do wordy puzzles to pass five minutes here and there. Adverts pop up between games, which is fair enough, but the other day it bought up an advert for a 'sex bench', with movable arms, straps, wipe-clean surfaces, the works. :wtf:

Yeah, it's annoying when you get adverts for things you've just bought,
