Free upgrade from 50gig to 150gig broadband.

AKA "we've discontinued 50g but can't actually kick you off this contract, please accept a free increase" No changes to the T&Cs either.

Irony is we've always had a 150 line, we just only paid for 50 'cause we don't do anything which really hammers the net.

That reminds me of an advert I read, where they were advertising unlimited broadband. Well if it's unlimited, you can't really call it broadband, it's more like infinite band - but surely there is a limit in the equipment as to what the bandwidth is?

Is this like "Free Cash Withdrawal"?

I of course mean "meg" though, 150gig broadband would be quite the thing.

A colleague is having issues with his KTM125 duke. He literally did his test a week ago and this is his first bike. He asked me to help because "you know about bikes". I know how to fall off them and I know how to wheelie them, but a mechanic I am not.

I wasn't able to fix his bike but I was able determine that the problem was with the charging circuit. As I say, it's not fixed, but he is further forward than he was !

This made me laugh a lot rather than happy so I thought I'd share :D :D A friend was driving her little boy to a club. I think he's about 4-5 and seriously into dinosaurs -
Interesting drive to Gymnastics club this morning.

K told me that God created the world in seven days and he made man. He's in a CofE school so expect this from time to time.
Then he said, do you believe that, mummy?

I said I didn't. I said I believe there was Jesus, who was a very good and kind man and a great story was told around this, so I have a faith of sorts, but that I didn't believe the world was created in seven days.

I was expecting lots of questions, but instead, I got a statement.
Neither do I.

I asked him why. This is what he said.

If God created the world and humans in one week, there wouldn't be time for the dinosaurs, because they lived for millions of years.
I said well done, yes, dinosaurs were here before humans.

He said, yes, and we dig up their bones, so we know they were real. I believe in Dinosaurs.
I thought that was the end of it and was happy he was using his brain to figure out his own beliefs.

Then he said,
"Mummy, do you know Jesus was real because you dug up his bones?"

Wifey has some video of this which I'll post when it's available:

Camped last night on a site south of Pau in the Pyrenees. From first light there were birds of prey circling, the numbers grew as more birds joined in. Mostly vultures my bird spotting skills fall a bit short outside an English garden. Around 9am a bloke shows up with a bucket of meat all nicely cut into cubes, pulls up his hoodie and walks into to middle of the rugby pitch next to the campsite. He throws handfuls of meat until the bucket is empty and the birds all seem to have got something. I've no idea how many birds were there, too many to count and over a hundred wouldn't be an exaggeration. The whole thing was over in under ten minutes but a thing I'm lucky to have seen.

We dig sat for friends in Ponterwyd last week. Part of the ritual was 8 day old chick's ( dead) to a circle of lawn and toss them out for the kites at around 10 am. Rinse and repeat about 6 pm. Requires carrying of a stick above head height as if they think you aren't being quick enough they go for your scalp. .....
We had a regular back in Llanafan that got whatever the cats bought in....small birds. .voles, mice...even a polecat once.

That reminds me of an experience in the same area. Multi-day hike in the Argelès-Gazost/Vignemale bit. Quite high up on a path with a bit of a drop :D to the right. Looked down on a stooge-ing around golden eagle. Wow! Nearly fell off.

I wonder if people have started feeding the vultures etc because the carrion eaters were struggling after some law was passed about removing dead sheep. There were stories about birds moving north and having to forage around cities. (Quite how the shepherds are supposed to find dead lambs and sheep scattered across the Pyrenées is anyone's guess - or why the carcases needed to be removed. Law of Unintended Consequences, yet again).

Yesterday morning, I woke up early and decided to take the dog for a walk as the world was waking up. Wandering round with a happy dog "What an awesome day" I found myself exclaiming out loud.

2 hours later I was making smoothies with fresh melon, ginger and apple + frozen berries. "This is brilliant" I found myself exclaiming out loud.

Then I was extra pleased, twice in 2 hours I involuntarily exclaimed how good life is.
