Depends what you want. IMO all decent coaches will do what's needed to suit your requirements.

Me and @Couchy did coaching last weekend and it was really useful

I will use my evening fruitfully to see what there is locally.
As a point of reference how much does Privateers best rider charge for coaching ( PM if you want)

The answer to that is "depends" we did a 6 hour course which was £85 per person. But there are 3 hour courses that are less and there is 1:1 or 1:2 etc

£85 was a group of 6. But it works otherwise you'd be knackered in an hour.

Not today, but over the last week or so...

An £11 helmet... It's actually pretty nice - really light and fits well. Hopefully it won't just shatter in to a million little pieces at the first sign of a crash... Had to superglue the peak on as the plastic clips weren't quite up to the job...

The Whyte 603, I couldn't make up my mind whether to get a nice external bb with some newer cranks or just stick with what I've got. I spent too long looking on pinkbike classifieds and ebay for something decent to pop up 2nd hand, but in the end it was only a tenner on the bb rather than a bit more for more modern stuff. It'll get me through winter and that'll do for now

Gripped to my flat pedals no problem at all, not quite as sticky as 5:10's but never slipped off and repositioning feet on the pedal was very easy.

Yeah depending on where and what i've ridden, they've worked fine for me. I've got basically the same, but i would only use on trails i know are a bit non-tech. Once you start getting rooty/rocky, i want the extra grip, even at the expense of warmth/dry.

Gisburn isn't a boulder fest but there's lots of rocky studded sections and cobbles. I've got some 5:10's which I've ridden in on the same bike and on the same trails and I would be hard pushed to notice a difference except that if I want to shift my foot a bit the 5:10's require a lift and reposition rather than unweight and shift.

I'd have no problem wearing them on the hardtail down Garburn Pass in the Lakes.

I'm not slow but tend to be wheels on the ground in the main so if you're hucking and whipping with the cool kids YMMV

After crashing at Twisted Oaks at the weekend, I've had to do a bit of shopping...

A 2nd hand KS Rage i dropper post to replace the damaged one I have already (though I'm hoping the existing one is fixable)

A set of 2nd hand SRAM Guide R brakes. My rear brake, although functioning wasn't really working that well after the lever got bent so badly, so these should be a nice replacement.

Mtb was meant to cost less than running the motorbike...
