RA before letting the public near an aircraft is a good idea.

As axkid I spent most of a Saturday stood on the wing of a Chipmunk, pointing out all the controls to a never ending stream of kids. I probably pointed to the starter a couple of hundred times.

Then a mate of the officer turned up, and he opened up the cowling to show him the engine, and turned pale. There were cartridges in the Koffman starter, like big fat 12 bores. One push of the button and the prop would have killed someone.

Don't get me going on the Lotus.
Which Lotus? ;)

I used to have to create risk assessments, study plans, impact assessments. On one site we were hiring, a disaster plan.

Then get insurance. Mention certain key words - which meant something very different to 'them' - and there would be no chance.

I'd like to see some of the RAs for old Top Gear stunts. "It'll be fine"?

Why do they need live bullets on a film set anyway?

Its a film within a film. The scrips is getting written as it rolls along.

Must be something wrong with mine then. I keep a fairly close eye on them & not one has ran off & killed someone.

Have you done a suitable and sufficient risk assessment on that procedure?

You are Van Helsing and I claim my soapy tenner

Seriously has anyone said why they had live rounds on set and was it Baldwin who 'authorized' it?

There was plinking going on while they weren't filming, unfortunately Baldwin plinked a couple of his crew.

Live rounds on a film set?

Someone lost the fucking plot.

A lawyer could write a thousand weasily words in mitigation, but that's the bottom line.

Prosecution screwed up massively. I mean it's not as if Baldwin is innocent or not guilty but the prosecution withheld exculpatory evidence and that's the end of that. What was that "evidence", well, some other live rounds found on set were dissimilar to the rounds Balwin used to shoot the DOP. I think those were the grounds. :hmmm:

Flimsy if you ask me but admittedly, the case for the prosecution had been incredibly badly handled.

That prosecutor resigned rather quickly and before the ruling, makes me think the evidence prosecutors hid wasn't as irrelevant as they claimed.

I would tend to agree. It will all come out in the wash but it was clear the prosecution were out of their depth with the quality of his defence team.

Professional leech Gloria Allred stated they are going after Baldwin with a civil claim/trial on behalf of Hutchin's family. He won't be able to hide his wealth like OJ did. Also has the added benefit of probably ending his career as any new movie deals will have his income garnished.
