Seriously?
'Uefa has strongly criticised Fifa's shock decision not to uphold Folarin Balogun's automatic ban at this World Cup, calling it "unprecedented, incomprehensible and unjustifiable".'

'Belgium's foreign minister Maxime Prevot said: "If a phone call is really the reason for this incomprehensible decision, it would be a blatant violation of the most basic rules of football and sport." '

Norway will be a difficult game, suppose they all are now. They looked a great team yesterday. Some of the big boys just ain't what they used to be and some others have caught up.

This dangerous play rule needs looking at. If you're daft enough to stick your head in at waist height and a boot meets you, fair game.

Mexicans were so upset by the result that four of them got shot in LA after the game.

Right, seeing as avoiding this football stuff is about as possible as it snowing tomorrow I have the following;

The yank red card wasn't a red card offence
The England red card wasn't a red card offence
Neither of the penalties in the England game should have been penalties
Who ever took a bung from Trump to suspend the red card should be hung drawn and quartered

Mexicans you say? Including the uninvolved woman and child that were also wounded along with the two wounded men after an argument at an intersection?

Seems like a daily occurrence- maybe the football was incidental?

Possibly.. the non-Mexican population is so overjoyed at the result that they're thanking England for saving a fortune on riot clean up had they won.

In other local news, a July 4th celebration got a bit out of hand leading to 17 different LE agencies responding in Newport Beach, 402 arrests & a mounted cops did a cavalry charge across the beach.

Edit: shooting has now been determined to be gang related.

That aged well... :)

In related news, one of the LA stations managed to find two Belgians to interview this morning. I'm not exaggerating when I say that pretty much anyone in Europe could have picked these two out of a crowd of 100,000 people as Belgians. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

They looked uniquely Belgian, like the past 50 years hadn't happened, they would have blended in perfectly at a 1970's event.

I'm waiting for a request from 'the stain on the tournament' to request VAR on the whole match and for Infantino to declare the result was actually USA 4 - Belgium 1....and hand them the 🏆 He likes handing out trophies to undeserving recipients.

In the comments on the BBC News article someone refers to President Trump as The Mango Mussolini, which is my new favorite name for him.

So at least I've taken something from this whole debacle.
