The real bonus is the "bookmark" tucked into it....
I have no idea what exact era this form might have been from, (yet), but it's quite possible it's exactly the sort of form my Dad might have filled in at some stage during his RAF time.

Thankfully, the new car doesn’t have lane control so i can turn and change lane without use of the redundant stalk on the left hand side of the steering wheel.KungFooBob wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 7:46 pm All BMW drivers are wankers!

I thought whatever Euro standard a 22 car had to meet meant enforced lane keeping that could be turned off but needed doing every restart.
My 22 BMW tries to rip the wheel from my hands whenever I change lanes without indicating.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
I thought so too as ex’s 1 series, first registered in March 22 was practically undriveable when it first arrived due to overly harsh adherence to white lines but I can’t find any settings for it in idrive / not experienced the steering wheel vibration / correction, that or I am a really good driver / actually use indicators as needed… :shrug:KungFooBob wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 8:01 pmReally?Silly Car wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 7:58 pmThankfully, the new car doesn’t have lane control so i can turn and change lane without use of the redundant stalk on the left hand side of the steering wheel.KungFooBob wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 7:46 pm All BMW drivers are wankers!

I think I can turn mine off totally, but then there's a big symbol on the dash, that obscures other stuff, just to tell me that something is turned offKungFooBob wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 8:01 pmReally?Silly Car wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 7:58 pmThankfully, the new car doesn’t have lane control so i can turn and change lane without use of the redundant stalk on the left hand side of the steering wheel.KungFooBob wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 7:46 pm All BMW drivers are wankers!

Luckily, three taps over two buttons and its off for each drive - but its annoying when I forget and the sterring wheel "jumps" out of my hands

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
Yeah, it was a bargain alright and perfect for my Africa Twin colours, although I'd still have bought it if my bike was another colour. Really pleased with it as its a perfect fit for my bonce! Normally I find Adventure lids too draughty for colder weather but its not as bad as my Bell or my old TourX. I doubt i'll go all through winter with it though...Jody wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 1:23 pmJody wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 1:22 pmTaipan wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 9:52 am

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
I bought a new leather belt. The one* I have is at least 42 years old as I had it when I moved from London to Cambridge in '83. New one cost me $60, a bit more than the old one. Just plain/smooth/black, 1.5in wide, 3/16th thick.

A new pair of gloves, exactly the same as the 7 years old ones I'm using now.
Mostly because Alpinestars gloves seem to have really really long fingers and these Icon's fit like a ......, well you get the idea

A pair of AirPods.
Well they’re from my wife for my Christmas but I’ve got them now. Clever bits of kit and easier to use than the corded set I use.

That would drive me spare…. In ours, one tap on the button nearest to the steering wheel and it’s off. Easily done, and done every time.
Another of those things that nobody wants and everybody gets.

I can turn it off permanently, but then there's a symbol on the dash all the time that covers (either the outside temperature or the current mileage) - so that's not gonna happen
