Made me laugh at myself.....
Jumped in a BMW m4 at work on Friday. I spent ages looking for the handbrake release button, couldn't find it. Then glanced to my left to see a handbrake lever.... probably should have looked there first

Mate of mine split with his missus a few years back. He's the original Mr. Nice Bloke and she stepped all over him for years before throwing him out of the house. Out of the blue a few month ago he met someone else and I got to meet her at the weekend at our anniversary party. What a lovely lady she is and the pair of them seem really well suited and very happy. Proper pleased for the pair of them.

25 years ago I took out an endowment policy to cover my mortgage
12 years ago I sold the house and kept the policy running
Over the years I've had countless letters from the endowment company telling me the endowment had a high risk of "significant shortfall"
Today I got the figures.....
Almost 5% ABOVE the original plan

If you haven't already got it, in order to get your hands on the cash without delay, get a document from the mortgage company stating that they have no claim or interest in the property. I hadn't so it meant tracking down the new owners of the company I took out the mortgage with. Then they sent a document with the wrong info on the first time, it wasn't quite right the second time but the life assurance people said 'Sod it, here's your cash'.

Sitting here watching the light slowly change. Can't say I'm watching the sun come up as that won't show over the mountains for a while yet!!
So bloody lucky to have found this place. Just off for a little bimble before work. Ski touring (very short attempt) tomorrow

So do I, but It looks pretty. Noggin's pics show the prettiness without all the cold wetness.

The second of my two endowment policies matured today, this one was a little bit under what was scheduled but if I add the both together, I'm nearly Β£500 up which is a far cry from the Β£6k ish I thought I'd be down!
No plans for the money just yet, I might get a new van, but I bought a car a few weeks ago so I'm going to see how that goes.
So far all I've bought is premium bonds !

The surprise storms last 2 days were brought by Southern winds. Normally Northern winds 95% of the time. The Trade Winds.
A side effect is a mini heatwave. It's 23c in town right now and not a fleece or cardie in sight

Same here. They're all underneath the thick winter coats.

Finding out I can start my car remotely so itβs fully warmed up and with a chosen cabin temperature! Toasty!
