That one has been bugging me for years. You order it, it arrives, you don't do anything in-between. If you had to confirm you wanted it before it arrived, I would grudgingly call that a preorder.

In fact, a friend pre-ordered the new xbox in store at Game (paid a deposit too). A month ago he had to go in to confirm his pre-order. So what was the first one? A pre-pre-order?

TV stuff that goes from almost silent to END OF THE WORLD noise every 45s. Watching lost in space and i'm going from volume of 10 to 20... 20 to 10... every few minutes

As often is the case, this isn't BMP I just find it bizarre

I've been using google maps a lot recently through my phone.

It keeps suggesting alternatives, there can be an hour left of the journey and it pops up "you could go this way and add 20 minutes to the journey time" sometimes the diversion involves turning around and going back the way I've just come !!. But when it's really odd is when you're 5 minutes from your destination and it says "oh you could go this way and add 30 minutes to your journey" whats the bloomin point in that ?

I've just discovered by accident that I hate GSXR1000 rear wheel fitment. Over last 20 years I've had the rear wheel out and back in dozens of times. Always a pain in the arse. But just thought that was the way things are.

But my pal just popped round to check the cush drives on his BMW S1000RR.
Wow, the rear wheel popped right back in like you see on endurance racers. So easy.

Harumph.

Has the BMW got captive spacers? They make a huge difference IMO.

Didn't notice. Main problem with the GSXR is the caliper snagging.

Far from being a problem with just the GSXR, my KTMs were the same, the Yamahas are the same. The ZX6 though, that's better as they have a pair of bolts on the caliper bracket so you can just remove it, makes things effortless.

It still astounds me that so many bikes use the same rubbish system.

See the red bus thread. On Beemers with shaft drive & SSSA, it's just a few bolts to release the wheel. Doddle.

It's just one nut to release the wheel on my Ducati Monster. Unfortunately it's 41mm and done up really bloody tight, so it's not quite so easy to undo.

Herr BeeEmVee gives you a suitable socket and extender tube. Biggest problem is knowing, without a torque wrench, that you have done them up tight enough. Not one of my finer moments ...

And some weird oil thingy removing gadget plastic doodah.... I've got all the tools in the garage, so that is that sorted! But on the bike, nothing of real use.

Does anyone have an explanation for the rationale behind this?

Surely the hard bit is bending down and picking it up, that's where all the risk is. But to then hang it from a tree, wrapped in plastic that will slow down its decomposition is stupidity that I cannot fathom. You've done the hard bit, remembered to bring poo bags , bent over , got dangerously close warm dogs doo and can even tie a knot but you can't be arsed to carry it to a bin? If it was left where the dog put it it would disappear the next time it rained. I get it when people don't pick up after their dogs, its lazy but I get it. The people who pick it up and put it in the bin, that's nice, it's responsible and grown up but those who hang it from trees, I don't understand. Has anyone ever confessed to doing this?

I dont know if this thread is supposed to act as therapy but it's not worked - I'm more wound up than ever. Ummmm breath.... and relax, it's gunna be ok.

I've phoned, I’ve emailed, yet still the twat who listed a bike today, who claims to be a company, can’t be bothered to contact me. Don’t people want to actually sell the stuff they list? Why pay Autotrader to advertise your bike, then ignore all attempts to make contact.

On a separate note, why can’t SuperBike Factory understand that I’m looking for a bike, and if they have one I want I will contact them? I don’t need 5 phone calls, 3 texts and 3 emails in one day because I looked at a couple of bikes on their site.

And it’s getting cold and miserable and I’ve got to go to work soon.

I'm guessing at some point you gave Superbike Factory permission to call you, poor obs. If not report them to the information commisioner or whatever it is now.
