Whippersnapper
I've got one of those :D

Well technically it's a mash up of various C-range bits, but who's counting?

EDIT: Actually that's a TR6  I've got a '65 TR3/T100 mash up.

How aboout a GP750 Turbo? I have no idea what they're like to ride - probably a bit crap - but come on; Turbo Motorcycle!

Quite good fun actually. Despite the long wheelbase I almost flipped one I borrowed from a local dealer back in the day due to ham fisted throttle and over enthusiastic clutch up attempt. For their time they handled as well. Crap in comparison to modern kit but OK for the mid 80's

I had the non turbo 750R version

GPz 900 used to shake its head all the time if you let go of the bars, I bet its a bit like that the turbo 750, settled down if you took a firm hold.

It was either down to shagged steering head bearings or down to the rear Unitrack suspension which early monoshock. If it was badly worn and you were at high speed and suddenly closed the throttle it would shake the front end violently. I did it on a GPz1100 and shut the throttle at about 110 mph when a car moved lanes on me. The bars went lock to lock and mate behind me said the tyre was making smoke puffs as it skipped from side to side and bounced at the same time ......... i shit myself and was happy to make it to the hard shoulder of the motorway and smoked about a dozen cigs while calming down

Knowing the way I look after my bikes this would probably be the state of mine.

the GPZ I was referring to always did it, nothing Malicious, head bearings were OK Never looked any further as it never developed into your experience luckily. Unlike my Pal Russell who's z1 slapped at over a ton and spat him off at around 90 in the outside lane of the M1 going down the big hill towqrds sheffield going south. He rolled into the central reservation when he came to a halt he said it felt like he was never going to stop but the Z1 was an almost new bike at the time. just like this one
Image Z1B thats a US import as you can tell from the short rear mudguard, we restored it a decade ago or thereabouts. it had a nasty period weave over 80

They all did that sir. Mine spat me at 120 for having the cheek to change lanes and clip a cat's eye.

Ha. The TL is a rock solid race bike compared to any old 70s Jap bike! They were all engine and rubber frames.
