Log burner install.last year was a major cash saver for us. Heating the house was stupid money considering only a few bedrooms etc get used. Now just heat the living room which we frequent majority of the time.....

Heatings being coming in during the colder mornings and Tuesday I take delivery of 4m3 of logs for the wood burner.

"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Central heating comes on when the thermostats say so. This means the heating has come on a handful of time over past few days.

Last year the zoning was fine tuned to ensure only the lounge* comes on in the evening with bedroom and bathroom heating up in the hour or so before going to bed which helped keep energy costs down a bit.

Had a new A+ rated log burner installed in the lounge so I’m expecting to keep costs down further this winter. I’ve got plenty of logs in the log store

*previously was using the open plan living area in the basement each evening which meant heating nearly 70sqm of space with combination of 7kw log burner which just eats logs for fun or running 3 radiators on full tilt.
