If you’re crossing Switzerland in summer, I’d skip the motorways as much as you can. The San Bernardino and Furka loops are proper “bucket list” roads, and the old Gotthard with the cobbles is just fun to ride. You’ll lose time but honestly that’s the point, the views make you stop every few km anyway.
And if you’ve got a night in Zurich on the way,
Kay is Murmuring wrote something that nails what the city feels like when you’re not just rushing through on a roadtrip.

The Swiss are SERIOUSLY hot on speed limits. Really not worth the risk unless you are sure there are no cameras/cops!
They must like me. Had them behind for a few miles doing between 5 - 8 kph over the posted limit. Unless they thought i was getting my MPH and KPH mixed up and left me alone.

Things to see in Switzerland:-

This is why i went to visit Titisee in the Black Forrest

Glad i did though as its a lovely lakeside town.

Don't crash there!
They have a habit of sending an air ambulance @€5000 a touch, then banning you from driving for a month as well!

That’s why you take out REKA cover if you live there.
