It would be the porker no question for me- a 355 is gorgeous looking, , and TBH I'd probably enjoy looking at it more than the 911- It will (IMO) undoubtedly turn more joe-public heads, but that era 911 is still a very special car, ice-cool and importantly for me , a massively more enjoyable driving experience - unless you're an unusual shape and/or a bit of a masochist! :)

Apart from my 3.2 Audi TT I've never has the desire for any sports car. Just no appeal.

And over here they'd stand out like a sore thumb. Folk have plenty of money here, but you never ever see a status symbol car. They just don't care.

Mmmm anything a bit classier, like an Aston or something?

I'd say the Caterham is better than either of those.

But then again, my Transit is the best vehicle I've ever owned

That would be my go-to. How about a nice Aston Martin DB11?

It'd be a DB7 from that era...which is certainly a nice looking car, but IMO the cheaper Jag XK8 it shares a lot with looks even nicer!

Bit of a dilemma really - both stunning cars.

Heart would say Ferrari but head would say the 911. If my cash, it would be the 911 in my garage.

Ferrari is unlikely to lose value though. The 911 is probably classic enough that it also wouldn't TBF, but I'd be more confident saying that about the F355.

I don't know how quick the Porsche is but the Ferrari would struggle against fairly standard modern saloon cars, so based entirely on kerb appeal it would the the Ferrari for me.

I'd want paying and a lot too, to own a Countach or even drive one. Probably one of the worse cars I have ever driven.
I don't think the Countach was ever about the drive, or even the performance. It was all about the looks. And even if you didn't like driving it, I bet you looked really, really cool. 8-)

If we're leaving money out of it, I wouldn't have either, but if I find £275k down the back of the sofa I'll be viewing this.

+ a few others like it. I know, brutal and agricultural by modern standards but hey ho, pass me my goggles. :D

I think that's actually a statement on how good Mondeo like cars are now

All these classic, even 90s cars, are gonna be A Bit Shit™ compared to something even vaguely capable and modern. Not just in performance, but refinement, fuel economy, the stereo, etc. etc.

Lancia Fulvia, with a rally rep black bonnet and some spot lamps.

Cooler than cucumber icecream.

Something like this...

Back at the dawn of time I used to get a lift into Uni in an AC Cobra...it was a bit erm, unrefined, even then. Lovely shape and noise though.

Don't care. :D

If it's mine, I know it isn't and anyone that know, knows IYSWIM. (It almost is if you read the blurb anyway, the first owner pretty much assembled it).

Having said that, some of the best replicas are better than the originals. Rather like that new E-type that Clarkson drove.

Wouldn't mind a Shelby original though.
