I'm hoping you're being serious, because it's a fascinating piece that has had people talking forever.

Absolutely serious. I'd like to get a print of it but it might be a bit much for the kids.

I've thought the same myself, I keep looking at old air-cooled DT125's and stuff, but I don't know if they would just end up really boring to ride, at least with a 250 or my 350 there is a bit of oomph.

My mate has been buying them up, refurbishing them and churning them out at a decent rate, he's retired but works like a dog all day in his garage, but he doesn't ride them, he just enjoys doing them up.

I always fancied a DT125R with the power valve fitted. They've gone a up in value a little recently. I think they'd be just fast enough to be fun.

Nice... You should hook up with Erizo who used to frequent these parts.. he likes a bit of art and builds custom motorbikes not far outside of the city.

Indeed I should have done, I think I even started a thread on it when it was first mooted. There's 5'1" of organisation why I didn't do anything about it. Unless he's free for about 30 seconds next Tuesday morning around 11 o'clock.

Do it, it's the most densely brilliant gallery I've been to so far for me. Most places have a few paintings that really grab me but this place is near full of them. Rooms full of Rubens, Goyas, Bosches, Bruegels and so much more.

Goyas black painting are disturbingly good, and he decorated his house with them, the poor blighter.

After having owned guitars for 20 something years, playing them with other people and all sorts I'm doing something I've never done before today.

Going for a guitar lesson

Ooh...I know a young Japanese woman that's playing violin in that. (She boarded over the school holidays with some friends, then went on to the Yehudi Menuhin school and then more study in London. Her mum gave me a T-shirt. ). The friends went to see the show.

It was more the case that I'm good enough to learn better just playing with other people.

I am still having some lessons though, just to help me remember a bunch of stuff. I was actually surprised how much musical theory I remember from my school days.

First conversation was like:

- Play me a G chord...OK
- Play me a different G chord...OK.
- And another.
- And so on. I got through quite a few before I ran out Same story with scales.

But then when he asked me "what notes are actually in that chord?" I struggle to say off the top of my head. Similarly when he said things like "that one you just played was a Major 7th...why?". I only sorta know. Felt a little bit like a test, but of course he's just trying to figure out where i need to start.

If someone tells me a chord progression I can play it for the most part. If someone says we're doing Blues in A I would to really think. If you just changed key and didn't tell me I'd have no chance of figuring out where you went.

I can see why people wouldn't be interested or care about the theory. But it should surprise pretty much no-one that I tend to understand subjects 'from the bottom up'.

I've played guitar with other people before, but i want to be able to play with other people without being a nuisance basically . I'm fortunate there's a reasonably active scene here in MK by rhe looks of it, but I do need some building blocks.

Basically it was about a crack commando unit which in 1972 was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. They now go around in a black van with a red stripe on, solving problems for people, frequently using socket sets and sub-machine guns.
