I will own an SV one day.

The X version looks ace! And sub £5k for a pre-reg is an absolute billy bargain!!!

I can't get on with clip-ons any more myself though, and I suspect thats the reason the X versions are so cheap because most riders are like me these days and have got used to sitting upright on naked bikes and Adventure bikes.

NC30s are heavy and slow steering, but they're very easy to ride at a good pace on the road, but for the track I'd rather have an FZR400 or a GSXR400, as both are much sharper.

Which was the point I was trying to make, the SVs I rode weren't very sharp, but they were easy to ride at a good pace.

Don't do it! You'll get everyone telling you how you're going to die a horrible death as soon as you touch the brakes!

I've owned 3 or 4, or maybe 5?? They are cracking bikes and with the suspension sorted, very capable on the back roads. A 70+ bhp twin is never going to be boring down the b roads...

I've been to busy with this winters DIY project to get out on the bike,but this afternoon I finally had a few hours to spare & fitted this lot.

That's a 12v battery indicator LED,front mudguard extender,Radiator Guard & a screen protector.
Front mudguards on modern road bikes are often a joke & the Suzuki's no exception so I wanted this lot fitted before the radiator got covered in mud from the back lanes around here

The two bolts that connect the front mudguard to the inside of the fork leg were a PITA to refit,but everything else was straightforward & it's nice not to battle with seized or rusty bolts
I'm now waiting for a Ctek battery charger to arrive & I could do with some paddock bobbins,a belly pan wouldn't go amiss either...
At some point in the next few days I'm hoping to get out for a spin in the spring sunshine

Meant to get a dash screen protector for mine when I bought it and forgot. Reminds me I should get one. I think mine has the same clocks as an SV

@Bustaspoke Are we planning to use the SV in all weather/seasons?

I'm planning on doing some Euro touring on it,exploring the backroads,plus lots of rides on the backroads around here.
No doubt it'll be used in all weather / seasons.

Always nice to get a rad gaurd on nice and early.

TBH,for what I want to do with it a V-Strom would probably be more suitable but I don't like doing the obvious,the SV isn't as heavy,I don't like the looks of ADV bikes & even if I did,where would I find a zero miles version with warranty for £4999...
At some point I might be looking for some semi knobblies for it

Once the smoke screen cleared I enjoyed the ride so much that I covered 48 miles



The roads around here are not in the best condition,but at least the mud's dry..

That's a road ? More like farm track

This is one of the better roads around here,unlike most roads in the area this one doesn't contain pot holes,yet...
