There is no cloud, just somebody else's computer.

I'd like that parked in my garage. Next to the CBX1000 and 350LC

RD500s are a bit disappointing, they're heavy and only 15 bhp up on a 350.

My mate sold a aluminium framed one the other year,it was a RZ500 & originally a Dutch import,it still had the Dutch plate attatched.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 6:59 pm Didn't some other markets get aluminium framed RD500s, or did I dream it?
From what I remember the UK bikes had steel frames.

One day at Elvingon, I'd just got a 3rd in 500 Prod class when my mate Ade turned up on brand new RD500.
I took it for a spin down A64 and it blew me away.
Fark. Shitloads of power and torque.
That's why it's still in my top 5 bikes ever

No stroker will be a better road bike than a 1991 CBR600, they're probably one of the best all round bikes ever made.
I never rode a RD500 but I had an NS400 and it was quite rapid. I think that engine in an NSR 250 would be amazing.
All the late era 250's had running gear that could comfortably handle far more power than their engines could make, they were practically grand prix bikes with lights.
