As for chuck keys:
In HS metalwork class, if we fired up the lathe with the key still in the chuck we were off the lathe until the next class. We alternated every other Friday morning with woodwork.
I managed to send the chuck key across the class in a perfect arc to hit the strip light above the teachers desk.. where he was sitting with his coffee. He said bad words.

In the current cold snap I wish to add a fourth favourite thing in my mancave/shed; an electric fan heater that switches itself on when temps hit 5 deg C.

My poor wee and nesh bikes insist on it...

I don't peruse them that closely. Particularly in the colder months...

To be fair it only activates in cold snaps like we're having now. Most of the time the temps are above the switch-on threshold, and once the temp has risen by a couple of degrees it switches itself off. Got it from Aldi or Lidl a few years back and it's been a very worthwhile addition. It has 3 or 4 different modes, so I can use it to heat up the shed/mancave in advance of me doing spannering ops in winter.

Having recently finished clearing my Mum's home my garage is full to the brim - I've left just enough room to work on my bike. I'll have a sort out as soon as it warms up a bit.

These are my favourite things that I salvaged from my Mum's garage.

A very, very large drill that I can hardly lift. The sort used for installing ground anchors.
A large A frame ladder
Boxes of camping gear.

My own personal possessions
Abba stand
Breaker bar and 24ml socket.

My Halfords 150 piece socket set. I've had it for the best part of 20 years I bet, and it's going strong - I recently supplemented it with some matching deep flank drive sockets for belt and braces purposes.

My Snap-on breaker bar. Tbf it lives in the car, but it both carries sentimental value as it was my brother's, and also I've never met an overtightened wheel nut it couldn't shift.

My Draper abso-fucking-lutely massive socket set. It was my dad's from when he used to work on HGVs/Fire engines, and every so often one of those odd massive sizes is required.

So, in summary, I appear to have a thing for undoing nuts.

I had one. I used it for a job then sold it (heavily discounted) to the gardener/landscaper. He broke it.

PS I'm v fond of my sooperdooper soldering iron, my Makita (mains powered) hammer drill - with clutch, my new NOCO battery booster and my screwdriver collections. My well used/abused Black & Decker Workmate gets an honorable mention too.
