Had time on my hands so checked them while changing the oil and they’re all in spec and the rollers are fine.

If they did it at all, they probably did it wrong.
Your optimism is an inspiration.
I had a receipt from a large London bike dealer for a full service and valve clearance checking, a couple of months later I found most of the fairing fasteners were seized. I wouldn't believe a receipt means the work was done.

Fancy swiss watch servicing may be take the piss expensive, but they do at least give you back all the old bits they replaced to prove it's been done.

Or they've just got a bin of knackered old watch parts they rummage around in every time someone pays for a service.
