There's a race on the last day.

And Couchie and Hell are on small list of folk on these forums who I consider quick.

Second thoughts, sub 2min is possibly optimistic as you're on a road bike and you've actually ridden it there!

Anything under 2 mins is a respectable TD lap here - and a decent maker to aim for on a sportsbike IMO ;)

I love it and hate it- love it as it is, as @weeksy and others say, just a brilliant exciting track with a fantastic mix of corners and a load of elevation thrown in, but I hate it (well maybe hate is too strong a word) as it frustrates the hell out of me- I always think I should be going faster than I've managed- It's a harder track than most to learn too IMO- I've been there 3 times, still don't feel I really have every bit of it sussed.

Anyway, whatever the laptimes are or aren't, good luck, and I reckon you'll love it- great little road trip too 8-)

All assuming you get to see this post of course!

Thinking about it, these GSXRs are underrated.
I've toured 2 up many times. Done solo 500 miles in a day more than once.
Until I got to Portugal, I was loving the riding position and the feel of the bike.
The ergonomics are perfect.
No aches anywhere.

If I had to ride 500 miles in a day, I'd pick a GSXR

No way I'd ride with no fairing.
And 200 gee gees mean you can have a play when it gets a bit boring ;)

I seem to remember Tricky going there a good while ago with some mates including some Bemsee racers.

One lad, the most unassuming guy to look at, Greville he was called, was in the 1.51/1.52's on a Triumph 675 - may even have been a bit quicker than that....mind you, he was fecking quick and won numerous championships with the club.

I'm sure @Bigyin will remember him. It was at the time Steve and Sarah Jordan were racing.

The time may be optimistic . Bradley Ray only did a 1m 52s in qualifying this weekend.
