Re: Bike security thread
Actually, I'm confused.
My KC100 got nicked from the works carpark, the GP100 got stolen from my 'rents garage when the centre lock of the up and over door got punched out. They got my mums TS50X at the same time.

I had to Google KC100, looks a bit like the YB100 I had.
I remember KH 100 and KE100's but couldn't remember the KC100. None of my mates had one.

Same with some early Kawasaki strokers. Unplug or cut the black/white wire from the ignition switch and you're away.

£5 faraday bag soon stops that, an obvious solution as not keeping your car keys next to the letter boxdemographic wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 8:15 pmLots of Landrover owners might disagree.
Fairly well known exploit regarding some types of keyless ignitions.
Although what they end up with might protect you?

Another obvious one is keys which turn themselves off after lack of movement for a minute or two.MrLongbeard wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 9:51 pm£5 faraday bag soon stops that, an obvious solution as not keeping your car keys next to the letter boxdemographic wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 8:15 pmLots of Landrover owners might disagree.

DT125's were even easier, reach in behind the headlight, pull the plug for ignition switch and it will start !Yorick wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 8:22 pmEarly 80s RD Yams were easy to steal.demographic wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 8:15 pmLots of Landrover owners might disagree.

Unscrew the headlight and disconnect the ignition switch connector.

Pah! My first bike's 'key' was flat, no grooves, no serrations, nothing. I lost it so just used a screwdriver. BSA does not stand for Bike Secure Accesss.
