I think it's a case of qualifying that by saying,'in it's day'. The figures won't impress a modern day speed junkie.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Fri Jul 14, 2023 4:03 pm Nice one, the early ones were supposed to be mental

Probably, I tried a KH500 when I had a 350LC and thought the KH was slow and very vibey.Skub wrote: Fri Jul 14, 2023 4:10 pmI think it's a case of qualifying that by saying,'in it's day'. Congratulations, looks very tidy.
I was offered a slightly later one back in the early 80s but I didn't have the £100 the lad needed

There are very few smoker triples that come up for sale locally and the Irish sea has been one of my main obstacles to ownership. (yes,I am a lazy twat) This one is coming from Wales,if I can ever get a bike courier who answers his phone.
Also, enjoy!

Re: Kawasaki H1 1971
If all goes to plan, the bike should be collected tomorrow.
Stoked. I haven't looked forward to owning a bike so much in a very long time.

Wow- I go away for a few days and you do something like this- that is absolutely top darts old boy
As you say, it's quite likely the worst bike ever by any number of objective measures, but is sooo cool- Love it!

Re: Kawasaki H1 1971
I just signed back up to say that's bloody gorgeous
Congratulations! I hope it lives up to the dream, its a proper full fat one too, ace (they were 10bhp down by the time they got to F / KH)
I'll pop back later to talk about oil pumps, where to look for cracks and stuff. I've got some A bits kicking around too (mine are a B and a KH)
