Our decking was rebuilt 5 years ago, using boards salvaged when the previous deck was demolished. We're about 1000 miles north of you and wood twists for fun here. Knocked up a slatted fence the other week, after a month of sun 2 areas had lifted by @ 3", and the decking which only gets sun in the afternoon assumes interesting shapes throughout the year!
