I finally got around to fitting these Eazi Grip tank pads to the Street Triple.The other month I noticed that I grip the tank with my knees quite a lot & Eazi Grip do these pads in 'Touring' versions as well as the track versions,so I decided to give them a try before I mark the paint.
That weird squiggle on the tank is not a scrath,I think it's some reflection.



They seem to be the same shade as the seat



I have to give them 48 hours for the glue to cure & looking at the weather forecast I've no plans on taking it for a ride in the next couple of days...

I put some on the MT once, took them off the next day. Didn't like the look of em.

Servicing costs
One thing I've recently been thinking about is the cost of servicing these days,the Street Triple was due its 12k service & dealers want up to £800 to do the job.Last autumn I booked the bike in with Muddysump,he has a good reputation,did the 6k & does the job in my garage so no travelling involved ,happy to say nothing was amiss & the valve clearances were all in spec.
The service cost £450,that's a lot less than the dealers charge & if you're interested he lets you watch & ask questions.Highly recommended if you run a Triumph,here's a link to his website https://www.muddysump.com/
The only negative I've had with my Street Triple is the 6k service intervals,I do oil & filter between the big services at 3k.When I price it up,if I'm paying dealer prices at say £600 every 6k,that means routine maintenance is costing me £100 plus consumables every 1k or £10 for every 100 miles,I'm not paying much more than that for petrol!
I've ordered a new hopefully less expensive/needy bike to see out my riding days,but I plan on keeping the Street Triple,it's original,mint & for something I own it's been cosseted
The 'Sunny Sunday Princess' 'should be around for a few more years

Seems like I haven't updated this thread for a while..
I decided to fit some Ebay levers to the Street Triple.One thing I noticed when switching between either of my SV650's & the Street Triple is that I prefer the clutch action on the SV's.I know,they're different transmisions so they won't be the same but I thought I'd try a different set of levers to see if it improves things,plus I prefer the look of them compared to the standard levers.



I was out for a test ride the other day & after some minor adjustments I'm happy with both clutch & brake feel.
I should be in the IOM this week but other events took over & as the weather's turned I'll get over there for a few days if we get some more sunshine in the next couple of weeks
