Thank you. For the inexperienced, watching it looked like everyone was going fast then Bastianini slowed which meant that MM (being very close) didn't have anywhere to go.

I was a bit gutted for Binder. I know that it's track limits, so not making excuses, but must have been gutting to lose third place due to cutting that corner by a smidge

I think he'll get 3 second penalty in the next few days, but the original long lap penalty was harsh, he clearly lost a ton of time when the front end let go, it was one hell of a save, he can certainly ride a bike.

They have live timing and if he cuts a corner for any reason, he has to slow a bit and lose time. It's a second I think.
They all know this and not hard to do.

He didn't and the clock doesn't lie.

I saw that story elsewhere and a complete load of bollocks for "no decisive proof" as they must have watched a different tv feed than the rest of the world .....pathetic and inconsistent yet again.

Seems to be the biggest thing now with the stewards that penalties are thrown but there is a lack of any consistency. Binder goes on the green and his 3 second penalty loses him places...... Martin behind him also goes on the green but doesnt get a 3 second penalty as the gap behind was over 10 seconds

Reading between the lines, it seems that the race team know pretty much what they need, but HRC in Japan is either dragging its heels or doesn't realise the seriousness of the situation, or simply doesn't have the answers. Puig also indicates that MM is not just physically damaged, but his head is not in the right place either. To be fair, this was pretty obvious to anyone watching him at Assen.

It's no coincidence that both Japanese factories are lagging so far behind the other teams. They simply don't have the rapid prototyping and turnround capability that the European teams do.

It's got so bad that Dorna are talking about changing the concessions regime to help the Japanese factories back to parity. How embarassing must that be for a country and culture that hates losing face above all else?
