Potato alley is pish. Win Hill is where it's at, which isn't far from that run. Rode there on Saturday...

@rse we rode past that, we'd have probably done that if our Local guide hadn't gone sick. Adds to list for next time.

So I've had a new spoke fitted, the Bike has now got a lot of "history" marks in the frame from flying rocks. Maxxis DHF on the back is well and truly out of round (common Maxxis issue) and looks like I won't be able to fit a chain guide after I found this (see photo). LBS say that it's an unpopulated item on the EVIL, looking at the ding we surmise a stone must have got wedged between spider and the motor housing and I peddled through it!

Ooooft. That's less than ideal. I wonder if that needs anything doing? It looks corroded/fatigued?

It's all under warranty, I sent a pic to my mate the LBS owner who was pretty relaxed about it, its not like I'll be fitting chain guide as that's the only bolt hole the frame exposes (there are 3 on the motor). Apparently Shitmano motors tend to lunch themselves on the first few rides or go on forever (though given my God Like status for bearing destruction I could be the exception to the "rule")

For us uninitiates, what is the broken thing*, why is it 'unpopulated'/what did they intend it for? Ta.

Lol, my last Primary School reports final line from Mrs Cummings (God bless her, in one year she raised my reading age from 6 to 14 by introducing me to Science Fiction), “I will be very disappointed if Ming is not the first Man on Mars”. No one’s beaten me too it yet and should ET ever arrive on my doorstep you lot are all toast if I can MTB down Olympus Mons😂
