I do yoga, not to balance chakras or owt, simply because it's a good exercise to compliment the other stuff I do. One thing I have picked up from the yoga is the meditation and breathing. Again. no mystic bollocks, but to sit and clear your mind, concentrate on your breathing, be quiet and be aware of your component parts, seems to give me a feeling of calm. Others might consider it a waste of time.
I had acupuncture once. It was weird, in that pins went in my hand and I felt warming in my injured elbow. Not sure if it helped, but I didn't die.
I've had acupuncture twice and it worked both times. It was administered by a GP in Preston.
I know a cure for front of the head headaches which is basically acupuncture and when I've told others, and they've used it, it seems to work.
Travel wrist bands work on acupuncture points for easing motion/sea sickness and we tried them with my wife when she was getting nausea from cancer treatment and they worked better than any of the drugs she was taking for the problem.
Anecdotally, acupuncture would appear to work for some people. I think the rest of the list is mumbo jumbo though. Except homeopathy, that's got to work, shirley?

My missus swears by meditation, - took it up to help with the stress / dread when recovering from a serious illness.
She finds it really helpful - I have to leave the room as it drives me crazy
I don't think meditation is an 'alternative' thing, neither is Yoga IMO and I reckon Acupuncture is accepted by mainstream medicines too.
As for crystals etc, Yeah I think its all bollox, But there again, I think that the idea of the existence of god as pretty ridiculous too, so why not believe in what you want, as long as you don't stop other people believing, which is something believers of formal religions seem to have a blocker with.
For years my Dad suffered from cracking skin on his fingertips. Despite various undergoing allergy tests and being supplied with various remedies, it took a visit to the Royal Homeopathic Hospital where he was issued with a cream containing marigolds and his fingertips were cracked no more. Make of that what you will, but I know what my Dad made of it!

Did it actually contain marigolds or an extract thereof, or was it so powerfully diluted there was no active ingredient.
Dunno. It was, apparently, the Queens Doctor he saw and he simply said when my Dad asked him what it was, that it was marigold cream! But, I'm sure it was more than pulped marigolds!

While I subscribe to the whole "what a load of bollocks" school o thought, I accept that some of it works.....and I will NOT give up my copper bracelet what mkes my 73 year old knees work proper.

One variety at least contains an essential oil that is used in cosmetics/perfumes so that would probably help. Dunno if there's other chemistry things going on but, quite often, when they get round to looking at some of these old home remedies they find things that end up in more pharmaceutical preparations. eg You can buy it in Boots (nappy cream, face cream etc) but they call it 'Calendula'....probably sounds more scientific than Marigold.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.
But certainty is an absurd one.

Western medical acupuncture is the use of acupuncture following a medical diagnosis. It involves stimulating sensory nerves under the skin and in the muscles.
This results in the body producing natural substances, such as pain-relieving endorphins. It's likely that these naturally released substances are responsible for the beneficial effects experienced with acupuncture....
...Currently, NICE only recommends considering acupuncture as a treatment option for:
As said acupuncture and meditation are proven. I think the others are bollocks. Except Crystal Skulls. They were crafted by the ancient inhabitants of Atlantis and are powerful centres of healing.
