I don't know if you're going to buy "retro" luggage or not, but i have an original set of Swagman throwovers if you'd be interested. (Has to be said, they're only 25l so not huge). They'd certainly suit if you're going for the complete "look"

Love it, and really pleased you made the decision that you have- as others have said, there is definitely value in sometimes just cutting potential perceived losses and doing what is needed to bring a new happy outcome quickly and cleanly and not dwelling too much on " I could maybe ( and maybe not) save £x by doing y first" options

They said that they had sold it straight on at no profit and that whoever bought it, knows it's history.

They also said that there is a lot of low mileage bikes coming onto the market right now where people took out PCP deals before covid and then didn't ride much - so 2023 will be a good year for picking up low mileage second hand bikes.

I put 200 miles on it over the weekend. The sound of it is addictive and the handling, which is why I liked it in the first place, is something like magic considering its weight. I guess that's the small back wheel and low down weight. Now the brakes have bedded in I tested them yesterday and nearly threw myself up the tank - they'll do.

To do
Cover with ACF 50
Buy some tank protector dots/stickers
Swap the tyres over for winter - probably PR 5s or 6s
Get my sat nav and sump guard fitted - they'll do that at the first service. There is no room under the seat - it's where all the technology is hidden and there's not even room for a pen so I'll let them work that out.
Fit my Gerbing heated gloves - same issue as above, it's not going to be easy.
Then screen, tail tidy and luggage solution but no hurry for those as won't need them until spring.
