It's still 150+ up Clay Hill on a litre monster ;)

I always rolled the throttle oof when coming onto the start finish straight. Irrespective of what I WANTED to do, I rolled the throttle every time !
I did Brands last year and rode the whole track like that but - but I throttled off for every corner, never troubled the brakes once. Wouldn't be surprised if I never actually touched the brakes apart from coming back into the pits.

I've been on trackdays where they insisted you do that in the first session, never overtaking the lead instructor.

I might well come along if I'm around, they're both only down the road.

That certainly applied to the first few laps in the first session but afterwards was crack on. Or not, in my case. Just couldn't bring myself to use the brakes in anger. Hell, barely used the engine in anger. :D

NL have released some more dates for this year. Two dates in May at both Oulton and Donington Park. Nothing later than that at the moment.

Anyone interested for May? I'm undecided, might wait until June/July dates are out.

Oulton was my fave until they put that chicane in at Knickerbrook. Did a 1:56 in 1999 on my 888.

<casually raises an eyebrow of intent>
Not the 1198 though - I'm not cunting another preciousss bike for whatever reason, so I'll cunningly plot a track hack to be deployed...
