As much as I love the MT, I can never see myself just going out for a ride on it. I might take the long way home sometimes if that counts?

All of them.
Every mile I do will be either for pure pleasure, or because it's easier than taking the camper

I did 2000 last year, might do a bit more than that this year if I can fit in a trip to Scotland later this year

According to the Beeline app, I have done over 2200 miles so far this year. Riding is purely a leisure activity for me so I’d guess somewhere north of 3k by then end of the fair weather season.

All of them. But it's so long since I've done any real mileage that I have no idea how many I can do!!
Tomorrow I'll be doing 35-40 miles as a test. I'm cat sitting in a village up the other side of the valley from Tuesday but still need to come back here for physio 3 x week, so that'll be abou 30 ish miles each time
Also, next weekend I might be a bit mad and go from the cat sit house to visit some friends near and in the hospital I was in, so that'll be around 180-200 miles.
So, minimal compared to some, but once I am comfortable riding again, I'll be doing it most days (that I have money for fuel!! LOL)
When I got my first bike it was end of October. I'd done 10k miles on it by the time I part exd it in april!! Mostly after work in the pub at night but any free time I had I would go out.
There are SOOOOOOO MANY roads and routes I want to ride out here that, if I can afford it, I'll be exploring at any/every opportunity!!

Work wise, maybe 8000 miles or a bit more. just for fun probably about 3000 but it all depends if i fit in a tour which will double it as a weekend away to Pembrey in a few weeks will be 1000 miles there and back and track time, if i decide to nip up to Scotland to see the parents for the weekend than thats 1000 miles

Geography.
That's cos you is a city boi Terrapin. If I had to ride through city traffic for miles to get to a country road,I'd probably ride less frequently, but I can fall out my front door and be on the traffic free twisties in less than a mile.
It's a lot colder here,though.

When I lived in Birmingham for a short while many years ago I had this problem every time I went out, where I grew up initially and where I lived most of my life the best roads were right on my doorstep, made a huge difference.
