Well not only is the BIL a fantastic artisan of spanners and bodywork but hes painted it too in the workshop...no end to his talents, this is just how it looks straight out of the gun no other work as yet...not sure I like the colour but its not my choice or his.

The upholsterer made a bollocks of it by spilling glue all over the front of the car so MY BIl will have to respray the bloody thing
It still stunningly good

My dad restored one, hard top with an XK140 motor. It's a very beautiful car but it was hard to drive, steering column apparently from a WW2 armoured personal carrier and the steering wheel is so big there's no room between the bottom of the wheel and the seat base, only skinny people can drive it. Awful brakes but the motor makes good power and it sound awesome on open pipes! Astonishing job by your BIL, really good quality work.

Just to add, that the photos of the interior especially are bringing up loads of old memories I have of playing 'cars' in my Dad's XK120 while it was languishing in the garage while we were growing up. We loved playing in that car, the smell inside was like nothing else, leather, oil, wood..... I never knew the car while it was running sadly.
