and this one, not necessarily better than the original, but certainly as good as, with a different theme
Did you know that Soft Cell's version was a copy of Gloria Jones' original?
Soft Cell's version was played in all the clubs in Leeds for about a year before it became a hit.

Not sure about better, but cracking versions with great vocals.
Mary's done some great covers.
Such a shame Chris isn't around anymore he bossed this whilst looking like he's not even trying

@Supermofo - nice. She's got a hint of Allison Krauss in her voice.
Really like Cornell's version of nothing Compares 2U

Here's an odd one.
I really like the Damned but a like this cover for some reason.
Most people would pick Live an let die as a Guns 'N Roses cover of choice

Chris Cornell's cover of Led Zep's "Thank You" is awesome
I'm not sure if this counts as a cover because it's Springsteen doing a Springsteen song, but Tom Morello's contribution changes the whole feel of the song for the better

Metallica's cover of Bob Seger's "Turn the Page" replaces the original's saxophone with slide guitar, and is immeasurably better for it
No, it's not. The whole thing is awful.

He's got a proper classic 60's rock voice, surprised he wasn't more 'successful'.

You won't be adding it to your playlist then?

No, and I probably won't try any more of your recommendations.

Anyone could do this better than the fucking pub singer and his band that did it originally, but I also happen to like it.
